  • Publication number: 20240125720
Abstract: The invention teaches a method proposing two new indices for evaluating thermal evolution in oils from different basins and organofacies. The first index is based on the distribution ratio of high molecular weight sulfur compounds, belonging to the DBE 6 (benzothiophene) and DBE 9 (dibenzothiophene) series. The second index, called TEI, was created from the profile of aromatic hydrocarbons and molecules containing N, O and S. Both parameters were obtained from the direct characterization of the oils, by using the photoionization at atmospheric pressure (APPI) technique combined with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS).

  • Patent number: 11960813
Abstract: A system and method for automatically generating placement of vias within redistribution layers of a semiconductor package are described. In various implementations, a user defines attributes to use for automatic via generation in redistribution layers of a semiconductor package. The circuitry of a processor of a computing device used by the user executes instructions of an automatic redistribution layer (RDL) via generator. The automatic via generator uses the attributes, data indicative of the RDL netlist of signal routes within the RDL, and RDL mask layout data representing the signal masks of the metal layers within the RDL. The processor generates placement of vias for in the RDL based on the attributes and an identification of overlapping regions between metal layers.

  • Patent number: 11962669
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to utilizing a content service system to improve selecting data sources that are used to retrieve digital content items in response to content requests. For example, in response to receiving a content request, the content service system determines to retrieve content items by either calling a lower-quality data source with lower computing costs based on the request having lower service quality metrics or by calling a higher-quality data source with higher computing-costs based on the request having superior service quality metrics. In many instances, the service quality metric is based on the user characteristics of a user identifier associated with the requesting device. By dynamically determining to utilize different data sources having different computing costs based on service quality metrics, the content service system significantly reduces the total amount of computing costs for retrieving and providing digital content, without hurting the user experience.

Abstract: Systems: and methods for decreasing bending stress in flange bolting for a connection between a flange and an adjacent piece of equipment is provided. The flange connection includes a single flange with multiple bolts extending: therethrough. The bolts are threaded into the adjacent piece of equipment at one end, and a nut is disposed at an opposite end. of each bolt to provide a means for tightening and/or securing the flange connection. The equipment to which the flange is attached may include subsea well equipment with relatively large outer diameters. The disclosed flange connection utilizes: an initial region of a counterbored (or unthreaded) hole in the mating equipment piece just prior to the start of the thread formed through the equipment. Additionally, a compound hub flange connection is disclosed to further reduce the bending stress on the bolts.

  • Patent number: 11960469
Abstract: Techniques to leveraging distributed ledgers for integrating heterogeneous database systems independent of underlying legacy systems are described herein. Heterogeneous database systems may be integrated to generate a desired analytics report. In one embodiment, DApps (i.e., smart contracts) and database drivers may be deployed to implement just-in-time data mapping in smart contracts to save substantial time in integrating these heterogeneous database systems. With the smart contract approach, the database drivers may be configured to port only the key data that are needed to be processed based upon, for example, on business considerations. As a result, only data fields that are needed may be mapped and converted into smart contracts. Because the data needed may be dynamically mapped to the inputs specified for the smart contract, which in turn handles posting to the distributed ledgers, changes to the inputs are isolated to the smart contract, rather than forcing a schema redesign.

  • Publication number: 20240115879
Abstract: Interstitial brachytherapy is a cancer treatment in which radioactive material is placed directly in the target tissue of the affected site using an afterloader. The accuracy of this placement is monitored in real time using a urinary catheter that locates the radioactive material according to the radiation levels measured by sensors in the walls of the urinary catheter. A scintillator that is embedded in the walls of the urinary catheter produces light when irradiated by the radioactive material. This light is proportional to the level of radiation at each location. The light produced by each scintillator is carried through optical fibers and then converted to an electrical signal that is proportional to the light and the radiation level at each location. The radioactive material is located according to the plurality of electrical signals. This location can be used as quality control feedback to the afterloader.

  • Publication number: 20240119691
Abstract: A system and method for lean ortho correction for computer models of structures. The system displays an image of a structure on a user interface and projects a structure model onto the image. Next, the system identifies a first world three-dimensional (“3D”) point in the image, a second world 3D point in the image, and a third world 3D point in the image. The system then transforms coordinates of the structure model using the first world 3D point, the second world 3D point, the third world 3D point, and a lean ortho correction algorithm.
