  • Publication number: 20070225577
Abstract: An analysis system comprises at least one behavioral sensor configured to obtain user interaction data, at least one state sensor configured to obtain user impact data, and at least one processing unit. The at least one processing unit is configured to receive the user interaction data from the at least one behavioral sensor and the user impact data from the at least one state sensor. The at least one processing unit is further configured to index the user interaction data with the user impact data.

  • Publication number: 20070184420
Abstract: An augmented tutoring system is provided that includes a simulation device, at least one sensor and a controller. The simulation device is adapted to provide a simulation that has an objective to accomplish by a student, wherein to achieve the objective a plurality of tasks must be correctly completed. The at least one sensor is adapted to monitor a cognitive state of the student while engaged with the simulation. The controller is adapted to process cognitive state information from the at least one sensor and to process student progress information relating to the completion of each of the tasks. The controller is further adapted to provide feedback to the student based at least in part on the processed cognitive state information and the processed task completion information.

  • Publication number: 20070173699
Abstract: A method and system provide for user sensitive pacing in an image triage that is based on rapid serial visual presentation. The physical or cognitive state of a user is monitored during the image triage, and images are shown to the user at a predetermined image presentation rate. The image presentation rate is adjusted during the image triage in response to the physical state or cognitive state of the user. For example, the image presentation rate can be decreased to match a decreased capacity of the user to process images, or the image presentation rate can be increased to match an increased capacity of the user to process images. In addition, the showing of the images can be paused in response to inattention of the user. Further, one or more of the images can be resequenced for examination by the user if such images are missed because of eye blinks.
