  • Patent number: 10564468
Abstract: The liquid crystal display device includes: a first differently shaped polarizing plate provided with a first hole; a liquid crystal display panel; and a second differently shaped polarizing plate provided with a second hole, wherein, when directions parallel to machine directions of the first and second differently shaped polarizing plates are defined as first and second directions, a first length of the first differently shaped polarizing plate in the second direction is shorter than a second length of the second differently shaped polarizing plate in the first direction, and a first radius of curvature of the first hole at a tangent point between a straight line extending in the second direction and the perimeter of the first hole is smaller than a second radius of curvature of the second hole at a tangent point between a straight line extending in the first direction and the perimeter of the second hole.

  • Publication number: 20200026124
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display panel in which a decrease in durability and reliability can be inhibited while excellent design ability is maintained. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display panel sequentially including: a first polarizing plate including a first stretched film and provided with a hole; a liquid crystal panel; and a second polarizing plate including a second stretched film and provided with a hole, wherein a machine direction (MD) of the first stretched film is perpendicular to a machine direction (MD) of the second stretched film, a length of the first polarizing plate in a direction perpendicular to the MD of the first stretched film is longer than a length of the second polarizing plate in a direction perpendicular to the MD of the second stretched film, and a thickness of the first stretched film is smaller than a thickness of the second stretched film.

  • Publication number: 20180236569
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a differently shaped polarizing plate, the method being capable of preventing a decrease in durability. The method for producing a differently shaped polarizing plate of the present invention includes a step of forming a differently shaped portion by moving at least one of a rectangular polarizing plate and an end mill blade while the end mill blade is rotated and pressed against the rectangular polarizing plate to cut the rectangular polarizing plate. Preferably, the step is performed while a jig is pressed against the rectangular polarizing plate, at the periphery of a region to be cut.

  • Patent number: 5830776
Abstract: A terminal section for anodic oxidation made of a metal which is the same kind of a metal as a light shielding film is formed on an end of a light transmitting substrate. Then, wiring space for the terminal section for anodic oxidation is masked, and a first insulating film, a semiconductor layer and a second insulating film are deposited by the sputtering method or the CVD method, for example. Moreover, an electrically conductive material to be a gate electrode is laminated and patterned on the second insulating film and the terminal section for anodic oxidation so that the wiring space for the terminal section for anodic oxidation is exposed. As a result, the gate electrode which is electrically connected to the terminal section for anodic oxidation is formed. By making wiring in the wiring space for the terminal section for anodic oxidation, the gate electrode is anodically oxidized.
