The method includes storing, by the second UE (100B), the configuration and sending a response to first UE (100A), where the first UE (100A) acknowledges to the second UE (100B) upon on receiving the response from the second UE (100B). The method includes detecting, by the second UE (100B), a trigger of a location reporting event based on the configuration, and reports the location information of the second UE (100B) to the first UE (100A) in the off-network, where the first UE (100A) acknowledges to the second UE (100B) upon receiving the location information.
