Abstract: This invention discloses a language independent real time communication device and method in healthcare domain. In an embodiment a mobile phone with a language independent keypad capable of acting as real time communication device in health care domain is disclosed. The mobile phone is provided with an indicator on the keys in the keypad of the mobile phone, the indicator is configured for altering indicium for the selected plurality of keys and/or indicators from a form suitable for use in one language to a form suitable for use in another language and/or to select icons, images or pictures indicating nature of a predetermined item of data represented or a predefined function a key. A processor is provided for programming at least one key in the keypad for performing a predefined function or to represent a predetermined item of data, wherein visually perceptible indicium for each of the selected keys is an indication of an item of data or function performed by the keys.
