  • Publication number: 20230038551
Abstract: The camera module has a lens assembly comprising a body and a heating element with an optically transparent coating applied to the body for heating it as electric current flows for removing water-based obstructions. The module includes a power supply for supplying electric current to the optically transparent coating through conductors, and a lens barrel (for receiving the body comprising a passageway for the conductors extending within the lens barrel towards the lens body. The method comprises applying to the lens body, high- and low-refractive index layers and an aluminium-doped zinc oxide layer.

  • Patent number: 9459467
Abstract: A central area of a lens is defined with a central perimeter coinciding with a perimeter of a frame, a temporal line divides the central area into a nasal area and a temporal area, a useful perimeter is formed from the nasal area and the temporal line, a useful area is delimited by the useful perimeter, and a prescription is determined for the user. The temporal line is outside a cone with at least a 30° opening, an apex of which is in a center of rotation of a user's eye, which is an optical axis. A lens thickness is optimized according to the thickness of the perimeter of the nasal area. Subsequently a transition area is defined extending between the useful perimeter and an external perimeter of the lens.

  • Patent number: 9170433
Abstract: A method for designing and manufacturing a monofocal ophthalmic lens and corresponding lens. A surface of the monofocal ophthalmic lens is defined by: f(x,y)=a1+a2?{square root over (1?a3x2?a4y2)}+a5exp{a6x4+a7y4+a8x2y2} wherein x and y are perpendicular optical axes of the lens in a plane, wherein a1-a8 are coefficients, and wherein a5 is other than 0 and at least one of a6, a7 and a8 is other than 0, including a hyperbolic component and an exponential component. The coefficients can be calculated by an iterative calculation and the merit function as follows: fm = [ ? i ? ? i ? m i 2 ? ( ? ) ] 1 / 2 where mi is a value of an optical property at a specific viewing angle ? with respect to an optical axis of the lens, and ?i is a weighting value.

  • Patent number: 8770748
Abstract: Method for designing a progressive ophthalmic lens with a top area between a vision area and a top edge of the lens, and a bottom area between a near vision area and a bottom edge of the lens. Selecting a predesigned lens, lateral aberrations which are redistributed around an outer area, defined according to a frame chosen by the lens user, so that at least on one of intersections between top, bottom and outer areas, the aberrations adopt values higher than those in the predesigned lens.

  • Publication number: 20130114040
Abstract: Procedure for designing a progressive ophthalmic lens and corresponding lens. Procedure for designing a progressive ophthalmic lens, comprising a top area (7) between the far vision area (1) and the top edge of the lens and a bottom area (9) between the near vision area (3) and the bottom edge of the lens, which comprises an optimization stage wherein starting with a predesigned lens the lateral aberrations of the lens are redistributed around an outer area (15), defined according to a frame chosen by the future lens user, so that at least on one of the intersections between top (7) and bottom (9) areas and outer area (15), the aberrations adopt values higher than those they had in the predesigned lens.
