Abstract: The present invention generally provides methods and devices for removing fluid from a medical device, such as a access device having a viewing port. The viewing port may comprise a lens formed of a generally transparent piezoelectric material, and one or more electrodes may be operatively associated with the lens to cause the lens to vibrate in a desired mode of vibration, such as to shake off and/or atomize fluid or other debris on the lens.
