The client device receives a selection of a product from a user and displays extended information about the product in an extended product page near the product. The extended information includes a template with images of the product and advertising copy for the product to provide a compelling, magazine-like view of the product. The user may add the product to a bag that provides a staging area for a group of products prior to purchase. The user may visit additional retailers and add products from those retailers to the bag that provides a unified view of the products from across the various retailers. When a user is ready to purchase the products in the bag, a purchase flow is initiated at each online retailer for the products at that retailer.
