Patent number: 11041116Abstract: A polymer-encapsulated mineral acid solution and a method for forming the polymer-encapsulated mineral acid solution. Introducing a strong mineral acid solution to a monomer solution occurs such that a primary emulsion that is a water-in-oil type emulsion forms. Introducing the primary emulsion to a second aqueous solution forms a secondary emulsion that is a water-in-oil-in-water type double emulsion. The monomer in the secondary emulsion is cured such a polymerized shell forms that encapsulates the strong mineral acid solution and forms the capsule. The strong mineral acid solution has up to 30 wt. % strong mineral acid. A method of stimulating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation using the polymer-encapsulated mineral acid solution includes introducing a capsule suspension into a fissure in the hydrocarbon-bearing formation to be stimulated through a face in a well bore. The capsule is maintained within the fissure until the polymer shell degrades.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2019Date of Patent: June 22, 2021Assignees: ARAMCO SERVICES COMPANY, RTI INTERNATIONALInventors: Leah M. Johnson, Ghaithan Al-Muntasheri, Ginger Denison Rothrock, Sarah Shepherd

Patent number: 10376737Abstract: Apparatuses for plumping and toning facial muscles, and methods for using such apparatuses, are disclosed herein. A preferred embodiment of the apparatus is configured to work as an exercise weight for facial muscles, including as a lip plumper, and comprises an outer surface, an interior hollow, and a rim between the interior hollow and the outer surface. The preferred rim comprises an interior edge transitioning to the interior hollow, an exterior edge transitioning to the outer surface, and a recessed indentation, or dip, located between the interior and exterior edges. The preferred interior hollow is configured for the user to pucker at least a portion of the user's lip(s) into the interior hollow and support the weight of the embodiment, in whole or in part, by the lip(s). The embodiment may further include a sidewall, a lanyard hole, and an air hole.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2016Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: Liptiful LLCInventors: Joanna Sarah Shepherd, Ruth Anne Shepherd

Publication number: 20140135175Abstract: This author hopes to protect her daughter's idea of using a beautifully designed cap-type tool for plumping lips. We also know it can provide needed facial toning as well as fullness for the lips, if one desires. We feel our light weight simple design could strengthen the muscles enough to keep one's mouth closed while sleeping. We have a video explaining the beginning exercises. We have testimonies on our website, Facebook page and Etsy Shop that say Liptiful Tool has helped strengthened their cheeks and lips just enough to keep their mouth from dropping open as they sleep, or has made their lips increasingly fuller over time. Liptiful desires to give healthy options to the world in the area of lip plumping. Secondly, we pray many who struggle with facial muscle weakness will finally have their very own facial exercise tool and, furthermore, hope.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2013Publication date: May 15, 2014Inventors: Joanna Sarah Shepherd, Ruth Anne Shepherd
