    Abstract: According to various embodiments, a tracheal tube may include a drug delivery system for nebulizing drug to droplets within a particular drop size range. The drug delivery system may include an integral nebulizer located towards a distal end of the tracheal tube. The nebulizer may comprise a micropump and may be in fluid communication with a drug delivery lumen, which in turn may be coupled to a system for monitoring the delivery of drug to the nebulizer. The nebulizer may be sized and shaped to be accommodated within a lumen that runs alongside a main respiratory lumen of the tracheal tube.
