  • Patent number: 5862040
Abstract: A transport pallet is provided for automating pre-shipment testing or "burn-in" of personal computers. The transport pallet is adapted to receive and transport the computer from an assembly line to a test storage location or bin. The pallet also provides on-board connections by which both operating power and computer signals are furnished to the personal computer at the test storage location. The pallet is adapted to engage external power supply terminals and external computer signal inputs at the test location. The pallet furnishes both power and test signals to the personal computer and return responses of the computer through the on-board connections, permitting "burn-in" testing of the computer while it is located in the test storage bin.

  • Patent number: 5826654
Abstract: A system and method for sensing and determining operating features of coiled tubing (14) that is run in and out of a borehole. The coiled tubing (14) is stored on a reel (10) mounted on a reel frame (13) for transport from one job site to another. A reel database (22) is secured to the reel frame (13) at the first job site for the coiled tubing (14) and remains on the reel frame (13) for transport with the coiled tubing (14) for the entire life of the coiled tubing (14). The system provides for updating of the reel database (22) from sensor interface modules (SIMS 30B-30G) for predetermined operating characteristics of the coiled tubing (14) during operations. The system provides that data from the reel database (22) may be retrieved at a new job site to provide an accurate and current history of the predetermined characteristics of the coiled tubing (14).

  • Patent number: 5350018
Abstract: A well treating tool string run on coiled tubing and having packers to isolate a zone to be treated in response to operation of a selector valve, pressure and temperature transducers in the tool string and a telemetry system which samples the measurements made by the transducers, an electrical conductor cable extending from the telemetry system up to the surface through the coiled tubing and to the inner end thereof on its storage reel, and a surface telemetry, data processing and display system that sends and receives encoded signals to and from the downhole telemetry system from which temperature and pressure values can be read out on the surface display in real time as the treating operation proceeds.
