Abstract: Methods and systems for providing referrals within a social network are provided. In some embodiments, a request for a referral may be received from a first user. Referrals may include, for example, referrals for businesses or service providers. A plurality of users may be identified, where the plurality of users are linked to the first user (e.g., directly or indirectly) in a social network. The request may be transmitted to the plurality of users, and at least one referral may be received from at least one of the plurality of users. The received at least one referral may be provided to the first user.
