  • Publication number: 20170215236
Abstract: A cooktop is provided that has a glass ceramic cooking plate, at least one heater arranged below the glass ceramic cooking plate, and at least one touch sensor. The touch sensor is operable across the glass ceramic cooking plate for adjusting the power of the at least one heater. The glass ceramic cooking plate has an increased strength and is therefore produced with a reduced thickness, whereby the sensitivity and reliability of the touch sensor is significantly improved.

  • Publication number: 20160227609
Abstract: A cooktop system with a glass or glass-ceramic cooktop system is provided. The cooktop system has a heating area that has a heating element thermally connected thereto and a limiter system so that the cooktop is suitable for a standard cooking operation at a first limit and suitable for a non-standard cooking operation at a second limit different from the first limit.

  • Patent number: 9170026
Abstract: A heating element is provided that has at least one flat electrical heating device to heat at least one spatial region found on one side of the heating device. The heating device has a contact configured to connect to a power supply and control device of a baking and roasting oven. The contact is configured to alternately connect to an electronic mechanism external to the baking and roasting oven. In addition, an arrangement of the heating element with an electronic mechanism external to the baking and roasting oven is provided.

  • Patent number: 8794226
Abstract: An oven muffle that has at least two wall elements adjoining each other, which delimit at least some regions of an interior space that is used as a cooking chamber. The wall elements are of a glass or a glass ceramic and the adjacent wall elements are oriented at an angle with respect to one another. In an oven muffle of this invention, along with ease of cleaning, a simple structural design is achieved if the wall elements are integrally joined to one another and constitute one formed part.

  • Patent number: 8450653
Abstract: An oven muffle having a receiving space, at least some regions of which are delimited by wall elements, in which at least one of the wall elements is permeable to IR radiation or has a region that is permeable to IR radiation. In the oven muffle, the cooking performance is successfully improved while also providing an easily cleanable interior because a reflecting element that reflects IR radiation is positioned in the region of the outer surface of the wall element on a side oriented away from the receiving space.

  • Patent number: 8097837
Abstract: In the method of manufacturing a cooking stove its stove top can be equipped with different glass ceramic tops, which each have at least one cooking area, which is heated by a radiant heating body cooperating with a temperature-limiting adjusting device, which limits a surface temperature of the glass ceramic top. To economically and individually adjust the IR transmission of a glass ceramic top with a higher IR transmittance to that of a lower IR transmittance corresponding to that of another glass ceramic top so that they are interchangeable, the glass ceramic top with the higher IR transmittance is provided with an absorbing and/or reflecting coating. When the glass ceramic tops are interchangeable, either can be used in a given cooking stove without changing the expensive temperature-limiting device.

  • Publication number: 20070221654
Abstract: The cooking stove top can be equipped with two different glass ceramic tops with different IR transmission spectra, which each have at least one cooking area, which is heated by a radiant heating body cooperating with a temperature-limiting adjusting device, which limits a surface temperature of the glass ceramic top installed in the cooking stove and/or the surroundings. To economically, variably, and individually adjust the IR transmission of one glass ceramic top with a higher IR transmittance to that of a lower IR transmittance of another glass ceramic top so that they are interchangeable, the glass ceramic top with the higher IR transmittance is provided with an absorbing and/or reflecting coating. When the glass ceramic tops are interchangeable, either can be used in a given cooking stove without changing an expensive temperature-limiting device that is designed for the cooking stove.

  • Patent number: 6875957
Abstract: A glass or glass ceramic cooking top 1 has on its underside 6 at least one heating unit 7. The heating unit 7 is in flat, heat-conducting contact with the underside 6, and contains an electrical resistance heating element exhibiting PTC behavior, the temperature in zone 3 being limited to a desired value without the use of a temperature limiter.
