  • Publication number: 20230172651
Abstract: A theragnostic system includes a surgical station and a storage and processing device that contains data in a suitable storage in which patient data and treatment data, e.g. in form of electrical and optical features, are combined. The electrical features are derived from electrical parameters of the voltage and the current with which an instrument is supplied. The optical features are derived from light of the spark that is produced upon influencing the tissue. By combining electrical and optical features in a data collection, that even contains additional features, such as tissue features and patient characteristics, it can be determined whether the instrument influences benign or malign tissue. The prediction accuracy can be increased by machine learning by adding histological data to the data sets. These data can be collected in a cloud computing system that is connected with many surgical stations.

  • Publication number: 20100233746
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining the systemic metabolic status of an organism in relation to inflammation and oxidative stress using a biological sample (Inflammation and Oxidative Stress Level Assay). This comprises detection and quantification of one or more derivatives of arachidonic acid (eicosanoids), linoleic acid and/or docosahexaenoic acid, preferably together with one or more oxidative stress parameters and/or with one or more analytes from other metabolite classes in parallel, as well as a kit adapted for carrying out such a method. Moreover, the invention relates to the biomarkers as employed in the method.

  • Publication number: 20090170125
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for investigating the modulating effect of a test substance on a PKC?-dependent signal transduction pathway or for finding a PKC? modulator in a human or animal cell, including the steps (a) contacting the cell with the test substance or with the PKC? modulator; (b) where appropriate inducing the kinase activity of PKC?; (c) incubating the cell under conditions which bring about phosphorylation at least of a serine or threonine residue of PKC?; (d) where appropriate lysing the cell; and (e) determining the phosphorylation content of the at least one serine or threonine residue of PKC?.
