  • Patent number: 9555820
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical contact coupling (10) for a track-borne vehicle, wherein the electrical contact coupling (10) comprises a coupling housing (11) having at least one frontal housing opening (23, 33). In order to achieve the current or data-carrying cables of the electrical contact coupling (10) not needing to move relative to the electrical contact coupling (10) when said electrical contact coupling (10) is being coupled and thus reduce the mechanical wear on the external current or data-carrying cables/cable harnesses which realize a relative movement to the coupling during the coupling process, the invention provides for a first contact holder (20) having a plurality of electrical contacts (32) to be arranged in the coupling housing (11) as well as a contacting support (40) having a plurality of contact tabs (42).

  • Patent number: 8261672
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle front-end module having a vehicle front-end structure (100) for mounting to the front end of a rail-borne vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, wherein the vehicle front-end structure (100) is wholly composed of structural elements made from fiber composite or fiber composite sandwich material. The structural elements forming the vehicle front-end structure (100) comprise first structural elements (10, 10?, 11, 12, 12?, 14, 15, 16) which are configured and directly connected to one another so as to form a substantially deformation-resistant, self-supporting front-end structure designed to accommodate a vehicle driver's cab (101).

  • Patent number: 8100237
Abstract: An energy-absorbing device in the form of a safety device against shock loads for a track-borne vehicle includes an energy-absorbing member and a mating member. The mating member co-operates with the energy-absorbing member in such a way that, if a critical shock force applied to the energy-absorbing device is exceeded, the mating member and the energy-absorbing member move relative to one another, towards one another, while at the same time absorbing at least some of the shock energy which is applied to the energy-absorbing device. To enable the overall energy which can be dissipated by the energy-absorbing device to be increased in a way which is easy to implement, provision is made for the energy-absorbing member to have at least one energy-absorbing region made of fibrous composite material which, in the course of the movement of the mating member relative to the energy-absorbing member, is at least partly reduced to fibers non-ductilely.
