For this purpose, a geographic region comprised by the digital map is divided into a plurality of regions, wherein map data of the digital map represent respective regions, wherein at least one of the regions has a first boundary line directly surrounding the region, wherein the region has an additional boundary line, which surrounds the region with greater distance than the first boundary line at least in some sections.
