    Abstract: An approach is provided for causing, at least in part, a presentation of a first representation of one or more segments of routing information in at least one first user interface element of a user interface. Then, the navigation platform causes, at least in part, a presentation of a second representation of the one or more segments of routing information in at least one second user interface element of the user interface. Subsequently, the navigation platform determines one or more interactions with the at least one first user interface element to cause, at least in part, a presentation of one or more other segments of the routing information. Ultimately, the navigation platform causes, at least in part, an updating of the at least one second user interface element based, at least in part, on the presentation of the one or more other segments of the routing information.
