The battery module housing has at least one planar and liquid-cooled housing. The liquid-cooled housing wall has at least one continuously linear coolant cooling channel and at least one continuously linear empty channel, which is parallel thereto and through which there is no liquid flowing. The liquid-cooled housing wall has a contact-making opening, by means of which exclusively the empty channel is interrupted, and wherein an electrical terminal element is arranged in the region of the contact-making opening, with electrical contact being made with at least one battery element by means of said electrical terminal element.

Abstract: A traction battery system for a motor vehicle includes a traction battery, which is designed such that it can be nonmovably received in a body of the motor vehicle, and a protective structure, which is arranged between the traction battery and a roadway of the motor vehicle, wherein the protective structure is connected to the traction battery by a fixing system. The fixing system is a releasable fixing system designed to have a female element and a male element, wherein the female element and the male element are designed to produce a form-fitting connection with one another.

At least one centering device (16) is inserted into an opening (17) of the module housing (13). The at least one centering device (16) aligns the at least one first battery cell pack (15) and the at least one second battery cell pack (15) in the module housing (13).
