  • Patent number: 11274710
Abstract: A disc pack coupling for torque transmission between shafts has coupling discs. A locking unit is provided that maintains a contact pressure acting on the coupling discs when the disc pack coupling is closed. The locking unit has a locking part, a guide part, an actuating element, and a pressure element. The guide part is non-rotatably and non-displaceably arranged in relation to a first shaft. The locking part has a locking part axis and is rotatable about and displaceable axially relative to the locking part axis. Locking part and guide part are provided with interacting control surfaces positioned at a slant to a rotational direction of the locking part. The control surfaces are provided to move the locking part into a first and a second stop position. In the first stop position, the locking part maintains the contact pressure on the coupling discs.

  • Publication number: 20120167708
Abstract: A device and method for generating an additional restoring force at the gas pedal for motor vehicles, wherein a change in position of the gas pedal relative to its initial position, brought about by a corresponding activation force counter to a restoring force, leads to an increase in the driving force of the drive engine, and when the activation force diminishes a restoring force returns the gas pedal in the direction of its initial position. An actuator element is provided which applies an additional restoring force which acts in the restoring direction of the gas pedal. For energy efficiency, the invention provides that the magnitude of the additional restoring force (F) acting on the gas pedal is configured such that the gas pedal assumes a position which moves the operating point of the drive engine into a region with a relatively high efficiency level.

  • Publication number: 20070244682
Abstract: The accurate estimation of gene networks from gene expression measurements is a major challenge in the field of Bioinformatics. We present a general approach to reduce the search space to a biologically meaningful subspace and to find optimal solutions within the subspace in linear time by using inferential models constrained by biologically relevant information. We showed the effectiveness of this approach in application to yeast and Bacillus subtilis data. Also, we provide systems and storage media adapted to provide and store data and results of gene network relationships.
