Abstract: The invention relates to a loudspeaker system in which the diaphragm of the speaker has a defined material thickness particularly in the edge region thereof and comprises a suspension which is axially symmetrical about the mechanical rest position of said diaphragm and is formed by one, preferably two identical mirrored components, characterized in that the sound emission towards the rear is performed to at least 50 percent by the inner space of a magnetic system. The invention further relates to the use of the loudspeaker system as loudspeaker boxes or in radios, television screens, radio receivers, hand-held radio devices, measurement receivers, mobile telephones and headphones or the like.
