  • Patent number: 11657973
Abstract: A wet capacitor is provided, and the use of an insulation fluid composition in such a capacitor. The capacitor includes a package of a metal foil and a polymeric insulating film, or of a metallized polymeric film, wherein the insulation composition includes a synthetic or natural aromatic oil and a polymer. The insulation composition is configured to undergo a thermo-reversible oil-to-gel transition at a predefined gel-point temperature. Further, methods of producing such wet capacitors are provided, optionally including additional filling materials, and methods of sealing leaks in such capacitors.

  • Publication number: 20220367134
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dielectric-insulation or arc-extinction fluid for an apparatus for the generation, the transmission, the distribution and/or the usage of electrical energy, the fluid being a mixture comprising a fluoroolefin and oxygen. According the fluoroolefin is a monohydrofluoroolefin containing from 4 to 5 carbon atoms, the hydrogen atom being bound to a carbon atom of the double bond or directly adjacent to the double bond.

  • Publication number: 20190218336
Abstract: An epoxy resin composition in an outdoor application and/or a high voltage application of an electrical insulation is described. The epoxy resin composition includes an aliphatic epoxy resin; and a catalyst system. The catalyst system is present in a content of 0.5-5 phr in the epoxy composition. The catalyst system includes at least one of the group consisting of: BX amine complex and blocked super acid. The epoxy resin composition is substantially anhydride-free. Further, a power product including insulation is described. The insulation includes a hydrophobic, cycloaliphatic epoxy resin; and a catalyst system. The catalyst system is present in a content of 0.5-5 phr in the epoxy composition. The catalyst system includes at least one of the group consisting of: BX amine complex and blocked super acid. The epoxy resin composition is substantially anhydride-free.
