Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus, comprising: a memory comprising instructions; and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to: receive first data corresponding to measurements of behavior of a user in the absence of a target behavior; receive second data corresponding to a measured behavior of the user relative to a target behavior, the target behavior representing an improvement in the behavior of the user corresponding to the first data; provide a first distribution for the second data; analyze the first distribution for asymmetry; estimate a level of motivation of the user based on the analysis; and provide the estimated level of motivation as a basis for a subsequent action.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a user's health habits. Various embodiments of the invention allow the user to register habits to a habit registry. Relevant sensor and other data is collected contemporaneously with the registration of the behavior and is stored in association with the registered habit. In normal use, a configured processor attempts to detect occurrences of a previously registered habit by comparing subsequently collected data to previously stored data. When collected and stored data match, a registered health habit is detected, the occurrence may be added to a health habit log, and the feedback may be provided to the user. The feedback assists the user to achieve his goals in health habit management.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a wearable device (12) is disclosed that automates the detection and determination of a type of activity, and both measures physiological and behavioral parameters and computes information corresponding to measured physiological parameters based on the determined type of activity. An embodiment of the wearable device provides these features by wirelessly receiving a signal with information coded therein that enables the wearable device to automatically detect and identify the type of activity in which a person (82) is engaged. The determination of the type of activity enables a more accurate computation of information that is specific to the activity in which the person is engaged, the computation of information based on the measured physiological and behavioral parameter.

Abstract: There is provided a method of personalising first core content in a health management system. The method includes: obtaining one or more characteristics of the first core content, wherein the first core content is to be presented to a user with a first supplemental content item; obtaining one or more characteristics of the user; and selecting the first supplemental content item from a plurality of supplemental content items based at least in part on the characteristics of the first core content, the characteristics of the user and one or more characteristics of the first supplemental content item. An apparatus and a computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: A method for coaching a subject, including receiving data corresponding to at least one of a desired behavior of the subject or an undesired behavior of the subject, receiving a level of available self control of the subject via an input source, calculating a level of required self control needed to perform the desired behavior or suppress the undesired behavior, analyzing a risk based on the level of available self control and the level of required self control, where the risk is associated with predicting whether the subject will perform the undesired behavior or not perform the desired behavior, and intervening when the risk analyzed is above a particular threshold.
