  • Patent number: 11717354
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for displaying the axis of astigmatism of an eye, in which an observation unit is used to observe the eye and, using a display unit, the orientation of the axis of astigmatism of the eye is displayed. A sensor unit generates sensor data which indicate a modification to the alignment of the observation unit relative to the eye. A calculation unit updates the displayed orientation of the axis of astigmatism with the aid of the sensor data, and issues it as the current orientation of the display unit.

  • Patent number: 11284793
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for controlling an eye surgery system, wherein a light pattern is generated on an eye by an illumination device and is captured by a camera unit while the patient is in the position in which he or she will undergo the surgery. At least one property of the eye characterizing the current orientation of the eye during the surgery is determined from the light pattern by a computing unit.

  • Publication number: 20210364652
Abstract: In a method and with a device for position determination by inertial navigation, a current position is determined from a known starting position and starting orientation by sensing accelerations and rotation rates. To do this, sensors are used to sense accelerations and rotation rates, and the accelerations and rotation rates acting on the sensors along or about three sensor axes are calculated. An evaluation device is used to determine a position from the data of the individual sensors, and the vector components of the positions determined are then added in a weighted manner. The weightings are determined by calibration.

  • Patent number: 9861279
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for determining eye position, wherein a light pattern is produced on the surface of an eye by means of a light source and an image of the light pattern produced on the eye is recorded by means of an image recording apparatus, wherein points of the transition region between the sclera and the iris of the eye are determined from the image of the light pattern by means of an image processing apparatus. The coordinates of the calculated points are calculated by triangulation or stereovision, and the position of the iris plane or a plane oriented parallel thereto is determined from said coordinates. The limbus of the eye and the center thereof can also be determined in three dimensions.

  • Patent number: 9675245
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for determining eye torsion, comprising a camera and an image processing unit, which is designed to carry out a method for determining eye torsion. In the method, at least two images of an eye are recorded and image data are produced from said images, and at least one characteristic feature of the eye is identified from the image data, for example a blood vessel. Direction histograms of the feature in both images are produced and compared with each other. The angle of the torsion of the eye is determined from the shift of the directions in the direction histograms.
