  • Patent number: 5635641
Abstract: A vibratory gyroscope includes, for example, a triangular columnar vibrating body formed with a non-metallic material. On three side faces of the vibrating body, patterned electrodes extending to the vicinity of one nodal point from the center portion are formed. One electrodes of piezoelectric elements are bonded to the patterned electrodes. The vibrating body has a larger Q than the piezoelectric element and a thermal expansion coefficient approximate to the piezoelectric element. Patterned electrodes are formed to the vicinity of the other nodal point of the vibrating body from the other electrodes of the piezoelectric elements. Support members formed with a conductive material are fixed to the patterned electrodes formed on two side faces of the vibrating body in the vicinity of the nodal points of the vibrating body. The support members are connected electrically to the patterned electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4449019
Abstract: A piezoelectric loudspeaker using a thin plate of piezoelectric ceramics of a high dielectric constant, and fixing a piezoelectric transducer including a thin plate of piezoelectric ceramic of a high dielectric constant onto a diaphragm stretched on a frame, thereby forming a sound generator. The piezoelectric loudspeaker is so constructed that the resonance frequency of the sound generator is set at the low frequency band side of an audio frequency region and that of a cavity by the frame is set at the high frequency band side, the thin plate piezoelectric ceramic of high dielectric constant being used, so that the piezoelectric loudspeaker is of an ultrathin type and can cover the whole audio frequency region.

  • Patent number: 4353045
Abstract: A casing of a box-like shape of a rectangular parallelepiped is formed which has one side portion or each of a pair of opposing side portions formed with an opening and has a partitioning member therein. A plurality of plate like piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates are placed in the casing in parallel with the upper and bottom portions of the casing so that the same are housed in a stacked manner. The plurality of piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates as housed are partitioned into two groups by means of the partitioning member. Accordingly, the height of the casing is determined by the thickness of each plate like piezoelectric resonator and the number of the resonators, with the result that the height of the casing can be decreased to be a thin type. A blocking member or members are provided to one opening or two opposing openings formed on the side portion or portions. The piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates are blocked by the blocking member from being slipped out from the casing.

  • Patent number: 4323865
Abstract: There are provided ladder-type piezoelectric filters, wherein each piezoelectric resonator incorporated is arranged to have opposing faces of rectangular dimensions with the ratio of a short side length to a long side length being less than a value of 0.7.

  • Patent number: 4017752
Abstract: A piezoelectric ceramic resonator to be used for an electric wave filter or an impedance transformer, and a manufacturing method of the ceramic resonator of the above described type, is provided in which a piezoelectric ceramic wafer, held at nodes or points close to the nodes of the electrodes of the wafer between outer terminal plates, is dipped in a melt, or the like, of gap-forming materials to form a first layer of such materials on the resonator with a second layer of porous thermosetting resinous material formed on the surface of the first layer. The gap-forming materials forming the first layer is subsequently sublimated or evaporated and absorbed into the second layer to form a space between the resonator and the second layer with the resonator advantageously surrounded by the space for stable vibration.
