  • Patent number: 11834049
Abstract: A method for controlling a hybrid vehicle (1) is provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor (13) that drives the vehicle to travel, a generator (12) that supplies power to the electric motor, and an engine (11) that drives the generator. The method includes calculating an amount or factor of change in target driving force (Fd) for the vehicle, setting a change rate (NRu, NRd) of a rotational speed of the engine in accordance with the amount or factor of change in the target driving force, and controlling the rotational speed of the engine on the basis of the change rate of the rotational speed of the engine.

The hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor (13) that drives the vehicle to travel, a generator (12) that supplies power to the electric motor (13), and an engine (11) that drives the generator (12). The control method includes: when bringing the electric motor (13) into a regenerative state, operating the generator to drive the engine (11) in a state in which fuel supply to the engine (11) is cut, thereby executing, in accordance with required deceleration, the motoring control for consuming the output power of the electric motor (13); and when increasing the rotational speed of the engine (11) due to an increase in the required deceleration upon execution of the motoring control, setting the rotational speed of the engine (11) such that the change rate of the rotational speed of the engine (11) increases as the consumed power by the motoring control increases.

  • Patent number: 11584353
Abstract: A control method for a hybrid vehicle includes a generator and an electric motor, the generator being configured to charge a battery by use of power of an engine, the electric motor being configured to drive driving wheels by electric power of the battery. The control method having driving the engine at a first rotation speed when a charging amount of the battery decreases to a first charging threshold; changing the engine to driving at a second rotation speed larger than the first rotation speed when the engine is driven at the first rotation speed and the charging amount decreases to a second charging threshold smaller than the first charging threshold; and continuing driving of the engine until the charging amount becomes equal to or more than a charging end threshold larger than the first charging threshold.

  • Patent number: 11465604
Abstract: In a vehicle control method, when drive force which a second electric motor is requested to output increases in a state where an internal combustion engine is stopped, drive force which the second electric motor outputs by using electric power supplied by a battery is limited to a lower level than maximum drive force determined from electric power which can be supplied by the battery to drive an electric-powered vehicle. Then, the drive force which the second electric motor outputs by using the electric power supplied by the battery is increased over time in a period from when the second electric motor outputs the drive force limited to the lower level to when the internal combustion engine is fired up and a first electric motor starts power generation.

  • Patent number: 11427180
Abstract: A control method for a hybrid vehicle (1) is provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor (13) that drives the vehicle to travel, a generator (12) that supplies power to the electric motor, and an engine (11) that drives the generator. The control method includes storing the timing at which an amount or factor of change in target driving force (Fd) for the vehicle becomes a predetermined threshold or more, calculating an estimated trajectory of the rotational speed of the engine in accordance with the amount or factor of change in the target driving force, and when an increase request for power generation is issued to the engine at different timing than the timing, controlling the rotational speed of the engine on the basis of the calculated estimated trajectory.
