  • Patent number: 7668909
Abstract: A site for communication and information sharing among members is provided by a bulletin board management system utilizing a computer network. When a change is made to contents of bulletin information, the system determines members who have already read the bulletin information before the change based on a result of monitoring. The system automatically sends an electronic mail urging these members to check the change in contents of the bulletin information and changes the status of these members from “already read” to “required to check the change.” Thus, the electronic mail urging members to check the change in contents is sent only to members who need to check, so failure of information transmission is prevented and information can be communicated to all members securely.

  • Publication number: 20070248323
Abstract: The disk recording device according to the present invention comprises a control unit, a recording/reading unit, an actuation unit, and so on. If the disk menu upon the optical disk (i.e. the menu for actuation) is one for some other manufacturer, then the control unit receives confirmation in advance upon an initial setting menu as to whether to change the disk menu upon the optical disk for the one in the DVD recorder. If confirmation is ON, then the control unit commands the recording/reading unit to rewrite the disk menu upon the optical disk automatically without performing rewriting confirmation. And the recording/reading unit starts video recording when the disk menu is rewritten.

  • Publication number: 20050238318
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus is constructed so that a bit rate at which video-audio data of timer reservation recording is recorded on a record medium is calculated based on a residual capacity of a record area of the record medium before the timer reservation recording and a residual capacity of the record area of the record medium after the timer reservation recording specified and the video-audio data of the timer reservation recording is recorded on the record medium based on the bit rate calculated.

  • Patent number: 5843264
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a vibration insulating assembly including a rubber vibration insulator and metallic members bonded thereto. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing the same, by which the quality of the resulting assembly is improved by providing a high bonding strength between the vibration insulator and metallic members. Retainers are provided about the peripheries of the bonding surfaces of the rubber vibration insulator in order to restrict displacement and deformation of the rubber vibration insulator across the bonding surfaces or at the bonding interface with the metallic members and to facilitate its positioning. The presence of the retainers allows for the application of a predetermined pressure on the bonding surfaces to enhance the bonding strength while preventing an undesirable strain from forming in the bonding surface of the rubber vibration insulator.

  • Patent number: 5540626
Abstract: A lightweight damper pulley is provided which can be produced in a simple manner. The damper pulley includes a central portion, a belt retaining portion made of metal plate, and a ring-shaped rubber or elastic member placed therebetween. The central portion includes a cylindrical boss portion to be fixed onto a rotary shaft, a main portion extending radially outwardly from the larger diameter area of the cylindrical boss portion, and a flange bent horizontally from an outer periphery of the main portion. The central portion is integrally formed from a metal plate by press-forming or the like. The flange and the belt retaining portion can have projections which compress the rubber or elastic member to hold it securely in place.

  • Patent number: 5465485
Abstract: A method for producing a damper pulley having a boss portion to be press-fitted onto a rotary shaft, an annular main portion extending from the boss portion, a flange portion formed along an outer periphery of the main portion, a ring-shaped damper-mass member located outside the flange portion and a rubber body interposed between the flange portion and the damper-mass member includes the steps of integrally forming the boss portion, the main portion and the flange portion of a metallic plate such that the main portion has a curved section, and has a radial length greater than a straight line distance between the boss portion and the flange portion, placing the rubber body between the flange portion and the damper-mass member, and enlarging the diameter of the flange portion to elongate the main portion having a curved section, thereby the enlarged flange portion presses the rubber body against the damper-mass member.

  • Patent number: 5441456
Abstract: A lightweight pulley is provided which can be produced in a simple manner at low cost. The pulley has a cylindrical boss portion, an annular main portion which extends radially outwardly from the cylindrical boss portion, and a ring-shaped belt retaining portion. The boss portion and the main portion are integrally formed from a thin metal plate by press-forming, thereby reducing the weight of the pulley, and facilitating the production thereof. The peripheral wall of the boss portion is alternately bent inwardly and outwardly in its peripheral direction to form a plurality of ribs, thus increasing the strength of the boss portion. A method of manufacturing the pulley is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5290018
Abstract: A cylindrical damping bushing for securing a rod-shaped vibrating body to a base. The bushing includes a cylindrical vibration-damping rubber body having an inner bore through which the vibrating body is inserted. An upper side surface thereof comes into contact with the base while the remaining outer side surface thereof is retained by a bracket which is secured to the base. First and second insert members, each having a rigidity greater than that of rubber, are respectively embedded in the axially central portion of the rubber body, except for both axial end portions thereof, in symmetric relation with each other with respect to the inner bore of the rubber body. The first insert member has a flat upper surface and an arc-shaped lower surface. The flat upper surface of the first insert member is flush with the upper side surface of the rubber body while the arc-shaped lower surface thereof is close to the inner bore within a predetermined interval.
