  • Patent number: 8900714
Abstract: Provided is a medical appliance excellent in slidability and durability. A medical appliance comprising a base material, a polyimide film (A) and a polymer film (B) having a higher nitrogen content and/or a higher oxygen content than respective contents of the polyimide film (A). The appliance has the polymer film (B) on a part or the whole of the surface of the base material, and has the polyimide film (A) on the polymer film (B).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 2006
Date of Patent: December 2, 2014
    Assignee: Terumo Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Satoru Iwamori, Hiraku Murayama
  • Patent number: 8313826
Abstract: By coating a base material with a film of a fluoropolymer such as PTFE, the coefficient of friction of the base material is lowered and the slipperiness of the base material is thus improved. Thus, it is intended to provide a medical instrument, for example, a guide wire for introducing a catheter. A medical instrument which has, on at least a part of a base material, a hydrophilic polymer film and a fluoropolymer film located as the upper layer thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2006
Date of Patent: November 20, 2012
    Assignee: Termo Kabushiki Kaisha

  • Publication number: 20010008227
Abstract: Dry etching of a metal oxide film exposed without being coated with a photoresist is carried out with plasma of a gas obtained by mixing hydrogen iodide with at least one gas selected from the group consisting of a group consisting of fluorine gas and fluorine-based compound gases and a group consisting of nitrogen gas and nitrogen-based compound gases, and then after the exposing of the above mentioned photoresist film to plasma of oxygen gas, the remaining photoresist film is removed by etching with plasma of a gas obtained by mixing oxygen gas with at least one gas selected from the group consisting of a group consisting of fluorine gas and fluorine-based compound gases and a group consisting of nitrogen gas and nitrogen-based compound gases.

  • Patent number: 5846904
Abstract: Described are a stick-shaped soil fumigant preparation and an application method therefor. The fumigant preparation comprises a water-soluble and/or biodegradable film and a soil sterilizer and/or nematocide hermetically packed in the form of a stick with the film. The soil sterilizer and nematocide are each in a liquid form at room temperature. The soil fumigant preparation according to the present invention remains suppressed in toxicity, volatility and irritation before application to the soil, but its active ingredient(s) are promptly released after application. In addition, the present invention makes it possible to provide a fumigant in such a form as permitting a substantial improvement in the efficiency of work by a fumigating worker and also to provide an effective application method therefor, without the need for any machine designed exclusively for fumigation.
