  • Patent number: 7552963
Abstract: A vehicle body rear structure, which includes: rear frames disposed on both side of a rear portion of a vehicle; a rear floor cross member bridged between the rear frames and jointed to each of the rear frames; a middle floor cross member which is disposed ahead of the rear floor cross member to extend in a vehicle width direction; and a stiffening panel covering a lower side of a fuel tank which is disposed in a space surrounded by the each of the rear frames, the rear floor cross member, and the middle floor cross member. The stiffening panel comprises an upper plate, a lower plate, and a connecting member which connects the upper plate and the lower plate. Furthermore, the stiffening panel has a thickness which transmits a load upon a rear-end collision to a framework member ahead of the stiffening panel.

  • Publication number: 20090001767
Abstract: A vehicle body rear structure, which includes a rear frame disposed on each side of a vehicle body, and a tank lower frame disposed beneath the rear frame and on the each side of the vehicle body. The rear frame has a load-displacement characteristic having a ratio F/S of load F to displacement S larger than the ratio F/S of the tank lower frame, A cross sectional deformation of the tank lower frame is suppressed so that the load does not rapidly decrease after reaching a maximum of a bending strength.

  • Patent number: 6905165
Abstract: A vehicle floor structure is provided in which a plurality of cross-members are extended between left and right floor frame members at predetermined longitudinal intervals, and a floor panel is mounted to the left and right floor frame members and the crossmembers. A corrugated sheet having a plurality of longitudinally oriented ridges is disposed in a space formed by the left and right floor frame members and the crossmembers. Left and right side portions of the corrugated sheet are connected to the left and right floor frame members. Front and rear edge portions of the corrugated sheet are connected to opposite ones of the crossmembers. If the right floor frame member, for example, is subjected to a load upon an offset collision of the vehicle, the load is transmitted to the left floor frame via the corrugated sheet for dispersion.

  • Patent number: 6805401
Abstract: A vehicle floor structure with a floor body provided to a body frame is provided. The floor body is a hollow panel integrally formed by arranging a plurality of core materials with spaces on a flat plate and placing another flat plate over the core materials. In order to increase the rigidity of the entire floor body, core materials in edge portions of the floor body are joined to the body frame.

  • Patent number: 6012333
Abstract: The vibration control device comprises an electromechanical transducer module adapted to be attached to an outer surface of a rotating object, and a control circuit for electrically controlling an internal stress of the electromechanical transducer module so that the internal stress counteracts a stress of the rotating object resulting from a vibration of the object that is desired to be controlled. Thus, the stress produced from the vibration of the rotating object is transmitted to the electromechanical transducer module, and is converted into an electric energy. The electric energy thus produced by the vibration of the rotating object is applied to the electromechanical transducer module, and is thereby converted into an internal stress of the electromechanical transducer module which counteracts the vibration of the rotating object.
