  • Patent number: 7384294
Abstract: A connector includes a plurality of contacts electrically connected to a plurality of connection terminals of an IC card, a housing disposed with the contacts, and a cover having a first end coupled to the housing in a reclosable manner and a second end into which the IC card can be inserted and stored. The cover includes a main surface covering an insulated surface of the IC card and a pair of supports formed at both sides of the main surface. The pair of supports are formed with a pair of rectangular grooves serving to slidably guide the IC card and pairs of claws facing the main surface. When closing the cover, the IC card is biased by the contacts so that the connection terminals separate from the pairs of claws.

  • Patent number: 7203069
Abstract: A PC card can reduces possibility of the lid being detached from the extended portion even when twisting stress, bending stress, etc. is applied against the PC card, and simplifies the metal mold for resin molding. In the PC card, by placing a lid so as to face an extended portion in such a way that catches provided on the lid are evaded from the catches provided on the extended portion, and thereafter sliding the lid relatively against the extended portion in parallel with the insertion direction to the electronic apparatus, the catches on the lid and the catches on the extended portion become aligned in the height direction, and thereby the lid is fixed to the extended portion.

  • Patent number: 7086908
Abstract: A jack with a hollow columnar contact has a housing, which holds the hollow columnar contact firmly and the front end of the hollow columnar contact does not deflect readily. The insulating housing 1 comprises a plug connection opening 61, which a mating plug 65 is inserted into, a first insertion chamber 9 having the plug connection opening 61, and a first opening 14 in communication with the contact insertion chamber 9. The hollow columnar contact 3 is inserted along an axial direction into the first insertion chamber from the first opening 14. A cylindrical main contact body 3a is held by the first opening 14. A press-fit pin 6, arranged with a small-diameter axial part 6a, a large-diameter axial part 6b, and a head part 6c having an outer diameter is press-fitted into the cylindrical main contact body 4a.

  • Patent number: 6929494
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector which is electrically connected to a memory card. The connector includes a substantially cylindrical housing and plural elastically deformable contacts inside the housing. The housing includes a card insertion slot which is cut and formed on one end side thereof and an abutting portion which is provided on the other end side of the card insertion slot. The plural contacts are provided in positions opposed to the card insertion slot and extend toward the other end side of the housing and the abutting portion. A gap between the distal ends of the plural contacts and the abutting portion is set smaller than a thickness of the memory card. According to the present invention, when the memory card is inserted in the card insertion slot and a proximal end side of the memory card is inclined to the other end side of the housing, a distal end of the memory card slides on surfaces of the contacts.

  • Patent number: 6921293
Abstract: In a connector with a cover or door body, it is a purpose of the present invention to provide a connector and a connector main body of the connector of difficulty being broken into parts when the connector is under use for being plugging in or pulling off although it is possible to detach the cover with ease. It is characterized in that a direction of force to widen a second opening (18) from which a cable (20) of the connector (10) is drawn out is different from a direction of detaching the cover (14) from the housing main body (12). The detaching direction may be a sliding direction on the housing main body (12). Moreover, it is characterized in that a direction of force to widen the opening (18) is substantially orthogonal to the detaching direction of the cover (14) from the housing main body (12).

  • Patent number: 6837745
Abstract: A jack, which would cause hardly a defective connection even if a mechanical deformation is received when attaching or using it, will be offered. The electric junction of contacts (3), (4) and leads (51), (52) is done by crimping, the crimping portions (3c), (4b) are arranged in a housing (1) of the jack which is not exposed easily to a mechanical deformation, and, in addition, the structure is so made that the mechanical force doesn't work easily on the crimping portions (3c), (4b) also by the leads (51), (52) extending from the jack.

  • Patent number: 6619965
Abstract: A connective structure for coupling a first and second printed circuit boards (11,12) facing one another is composed of a female connector (13) surface-mounted on the first printed board (11) and a male connector (14) also surface-mounted on the second board (12) so as to fit on the female connector (13). The male connector has a housing (41) and positioning pins (35) extending from opposite lateral ends of the housing towards the first printed circuit board, and each positioning pin has a free end protruding beyond the housing top. Positioning openings (26) are formed in the first circuit board so that the pins (35) are inserted in them to couple the female and male connectors (13,14) at their positions correct and accurate relative to each other to establish a reliable electric connection, such that the connective portions are protected from distortedly fitting one in another even if distance between the circuit boards (11,12) is reduced.
