The convex portion being positioned in a region of the top plate corresponding to the disc holding portion of the disc tray in a state that the disc tray is fully inserted into the main body. The disc drive may further includes a roughly arc-shaped ridge portion formed in the region of the top plate so as to protrude inside the main body.
