  • Publication number: 20020169335
Abstract: This invention provides a process for producing bismuth tertiary amyloxide which is a starting material for forming a ferroelectric film such as SrBi2Ta2O9 containing bismuth oxide, or an oxide superconductive film such as Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8, by the CVD method or sol-gel method. This process comprises reacting bismuth bromide with sodium tertiary amyloxide or potassium tertiary amyloxide in a toluene solvent containing 5 to 30 weight % tetrahydrofuran, then separating a byproduct sodium bromide or potassiumbromide by filtration and recovering bismuth tertiary amyloxide by distillation under reduced pressure.

  • Patent number: 5305062
Abstract: A structure is provided capable of electrically connecting a terminal member to a rotatable member, which is rotatably supported by a fixed member in an electrophotographic imaging device. In the structure, a first member secured to the rotatable member and rotated therewith and a second member secured to the fixed member are provided. The first and second members are conductive and electrically connected with each other. Further, the terminal member is engaged with the second member so that the terminal member is electrically connected to the rotatable member via the first and second members.

  • Patent number: 5303010
Abstract: A doctor blade mounting structure for mounting a doctor blade to a main body of a development device is provided, which includes a development roller which is rotatably arranged in the main body and on the outer circumferential surface of which a magnetic brush is formed. The doctor blade is disposed in confrontation with the development roller with a predetermined gap defined between the distal end of the doctor blade and the outer periphery of the development roller, for setting the height of the magnetic brush to a uniform level. The mounting structure is provided with a rigid support plate to which the doctor blade is attached, and fixing screws for fixing the rigid support plate to the main body of the development device are provided. The doctor blade is mounted to the main body of the development device through the support plate.

  • Patent number: 5091748
Abstract: A toner supplying mechanism for use in an imaging apparatus for forming a toner image. The development unit of the apparatus includes a development roller for attracting toner particles to be adhered onto a circumferential surface of a predetermined material. The toner cartridge member, provided at the upper side of the development roller, houses a multiplicity of toner particles to be supplied toward the development roller through an inclined inner wall of the development unit. A scraper member, having at least one rotating arm member on a predetermned shaft member, located between the development roller and the toner cartridge, scrapes the toner particles on the inner wall and feeds them toward the development roller. The development unit further includes an elastic sheet member, located on the inclined inner wall, whose lower edge portion is arranged to be flipped by the rotating arm member. The upper edge portion of the elastic sheet member is fixed to the inclined inner wall.

  • Patent number: 5081504
Abstract: A drum cleaning unit is positioned in an image recording apparatus utilizing an electrophotographic system in which a photoconductive drum is employed to form a toner image thereon. The unit comprises a plurality of blade members for removing residual toner from the surface of the photoconductive drum, and a support structure for independently, adjustably supporting respective blade members on the image recording apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5059991
Abstract: A dustproof transparent member is fitted to a window in an optical system container of e.g. an optical scanning unit in a laser beam printer. On the surface of the dustproof transparent member, a layer of transparent conductive material is formed. The body of the printer and the dustproof transparent member are electrically connected to make their electric potentials equal, thereby preventing floating substances in the atmosphere from electrostatically sticking to the dustproof transparent member.

  • Patent number: 5045892
Abstract: In an imaging device employing an electrophotographic process, the arrangement having a guide member located in a recording paper feed path extending from a transfer unit to a fixing unit to cause the recording paper to be conveyed along the guide member in a predetermined direction under the control of an electrostatic power. Alternately, the imaging device has guide members for restricting the up and down displacement of the side edge of one lateral side of a recording paper feed path extending from the transfer unit to the fixing unit. The guide members are spaced from each other to allow the recording paper to pass through the space to restrict the up and down displacement of the lateral edge of the recording paper. Thus, the recording paper is held and guided in its feed direction to be brought into the fixing unit.
