  • Publication number: 20040180643
Abstract: The thermal interference due to the self heating of transistors constituting a gilbert cell circuit is reduced, thereby largely improving the receiving sensitivity to signals. A mixer circuit composed of a gilbert cell circuit comprises transistors T1 to T6. Each of the transistors T1 to T4 is configured so that four transistors may be connected in parallel. In a layout on a semiconductor chip, four transistors T1a to T1d and T2a to T2d respectively constituting the transistors T1 and T2 are respectively separated into two pairs, and the respective two pairs are laid out in a crisscross shape so that they are crossed with each other. Similarly, four transistors T3a to T3d and T4a to T4d respectively constituting the transistors T3 and T4 are respectively separated into two pairs, and the respective two pairs are laid out in a crisscross shape so that they are crossed with each other. Thus, the thermal influence applied on the transistors T1 to T4 is uniformed.

  • Publication number: 20040051122
Abstract: The semiconductor integrated circuit (RF IC) for a mobile telephone capable of transmitting/receiving the signals of plural bands reduces the DC offsets of the amplifiers located in the following stages of the mixers that demodulate or down-convert the reception signals. The invention scrambles the signal lines to transmit the outputs of the plural mixers that demodulate or down-convert the reception signals of different bands, so as to avoid the adjacent signal lines from making the same combination from the starting ends to the finishing ends.

  • Patent number: 6545515
Abstract: In a semiconductor switch, a voltage detection circuit is provided so as to be in parallel with a first switching element for turning on/off a power supply to a load, in which a voltage detection portion for detecting a drain voltage of the first switching element by dividing a voltage upon a resistance ratio or the like and a second switching element are connected in series to each other. The second switching element is turned on/off in accordance with ON/OFF of the first switching element. Accordingly, detection of a drain voltage is performed normally when the first switching element is in an ON state. When the first switching element is in an OFF state, a leakage current can be reduced by the second switching element.

  • Patent number: 6529268
Abstract: A surface geometry measuring apparatus which relies upon triangulation to measure the distance to an object from a sensor head comprising projection optics and observation optics, wherein the projection optics has a drive mechanism capable of adjusting the laser beam projecting position or the baseline length, the distance to the object is calculated by measuring the baseline length at the time when the point at which a spot of the laser light projected to the object forms a focused image on the observation plane in the observation optics has come to the center of the observation plane, the surface geometry measuring apparatus has a mechanism for causing the sensor head or observation optics to move or turn from side to side and a mechanism for causing the sensor head to turn up and down such that the moving or turning from side to side and the turning up and down allow the point of measurement on the object to be scanned with the laser beam two-dimensionally to measure the surface geometry of the object.
