  • Patent number: 11644029
Abstract: A fuel injection pump includes: a tappet configured to reciprocate by rotation of a cam; a cylinder that supports the tappet to reciprocate; and a plunger configured to reciprocate with the tappet. The tappet includes: a tappet body supported by the cylinder to reciprocate; a pin supported on both sides in an axial direction of the pin by the tappet body; a roller rotatably fitted to an outer peripheral side of the pin; a washer disposed between at least one end surface of the roller in the axial direction and an inner peripheral surface of the tappet body. The washer has at least one protrusion to be in contact with a stopper of the tappet body in either of two rotational directions.

  • Patent number: 10859050
Abstract: A fuel injection pump includes a cam rotating with a camshaft, a tappet reciprocating in response to rotation of the cam, a cylinder, a plunger, and a thrust washer. The thrust washer is located between the cam and a casing housing the camshaft at both ends of the cam in an axial direction of the cam. The tappet includes a tappet body, a roller, a supporting member, and a contact surface formed at an outer peripheral part of the tappet. The thrust washer includes a rotation restricting part that protrudes toward the tappet over a maximum lift position. The rotation restricting part restricts rotation of the tappet relative to a center axis of the tappet body by being contact with the contact surface.

  • Publication number: 20140216203
Abstract: A tappet converts rotational motion of a cam placed on a lower side of a plunger into linear reciprocating motion and transmits the converted linear reciprocating motion to the plunger. The tappet includes a roller and a shoe. The roller is reciprocated in a top-to-bottom direction in a state where the roller contacts an outer peripheral surface of the cam. The shoe rotatably supports the roller and is reciprocated in the top-to-bottom direction. In the fuel supply pump, there is satisfied an inequality of X<r. In this inequality, X denotes a distance between a top-dead center and a bottom-dead center of the plunger in the top-to-bottom direction, and r denotes a radius of the roller.

  • Patent number: 8122811
Abstract: A housing has a cylinder and a compression chamber. A plunger is slidable in the cylinder and configured to pressurize fuel in the compression chamber. A cam is eccentric with respect to a shaft center axis of a camshaft and integrally rotatable with the camshaft. A sliding member is slidable around an outer circumferential periphery of the cam and configured to revolve around the shaft center axis in conjunction with rotation of the camshaft. The plunger is slidable on the sliding member and configured to convert the revolution into a linear movement. The cam and the sliding member are accommodated in the housing. The sliding member has an opening through which the outer circumferential periphery is partially exposed.
