  • Patent number: 5987532
Abstract: A plurality of series-connected units, e.g., display units, are controlled by serial command data transmitted from a computer. The computer transmits ID setting command data for the respective units in a sequential manner. A controller of each unit takes in an ID code included in a first-received ID setting command data to employ it as an ID code of the associated unit. Based on an instruction signal from the controller indicating that the ID code has been set, subsequently received ID setting command data are transferred to the following unit.

  • Patent number: 5231496
Abstract: A multi-screen display apparatus has a lowest ABL level priority circuit which, receiving ABL signals from a plurality of display units constituting the display apparatus, provides a lowest ABL signal to the display units. At the presetting stage, while being supplied with the same video signal for a white picture, offset ABL voltages of the respective display units are adjusted to produce the uniform brightness over the entire multi-screen. The offset data thus determined are stored in the respective display units. When the display apparatus is in actual use, in each display unit the offset voltage is added to the lowest ABL voltage to produce an offset-added ABL voltage to be used for adjusting brightness and/or contrast of the display unit.

  • Patent number: 4703450
Abstract: An interface device is made connectable to a printer parallel port of a computer and contains a memory device addressed by print data received from the computer. The device further includes an apparatus for generating a remocon code to remote-control controlled equipment on the basis of the data addressed in the memory device and which sends said code to the controlled equipment.

  • Patent number: 4680634
Abstract: A system for processing picture information adapted for combining or switching picture informations, one of which is obtained by a process of a Central Processing Unit and another of which is supplied from an external appliance. The system includes a device for detecting the presence of second picture information and informing the Central Processing Unit of same. The Central Processing Unit is controlled to perform the selection between two types of picture information in accordance with the operation of the detecting and informing device. The combination or selection between two types of picture information is thus performed by a software for operating the Central Processing Unit.

  • Patent number: 4670774
Abstract: A video format signal generator based on a CRT controller, for producing a composite video format signal to be applied to a CRT display unit, is provided with improved circuit means for generating a clock signal to control the CRT controller whereby the timing relationships of the components of the output video format signal from the signal generator are accurately synchronized with a horizontal sync signal derived from an externally applied video signal when operating in an externally synchronized mode, whereby distortion of patterns displayed on the CRT arising from incorrect synchronization are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4635222
Abstract: An interface device includes connections to a printer port of a computer apparatus, and logic circuitry for selecting a particular sensor from among one or more sensors based on data from the computer apparatus. A signal is fed back to the printer port by way of the port connections based on the output of the sensor selected by said logic circuitry.
