  • Patent number: 8269655
Abstract: Key control for a key matrix circuit having a plurality of keys is provided to reduce power consumption in key searching caused by unintended key pressing. In key control on the key matrix circuit having a plurality of rows and columns of keys (key switches) in matrix arrangement, keys are disabled or enabled in row lines or in column lines on the key matrix circuit by any one of the lines through key selection by a key selecting means (opening/closing detection circuit, opening/closing detecting unit, key selection switch, key selecting unit). Following key selection, a control means (control unit) keeps key pressing detection in a standby status for a predetermined time in response to an event of detection of a press of a key included in enabled keys, and resumes the key pressing detection after the passage of the predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20060265457
Abstract: Before entering an unsafe area, the bearer of an information processing apparatus having a mail transmitting/receiving unit transmits an emergency mail message to a mail server and requests the message be transmitted out in case of emergency, thereby ensuring safety of the bearer. The information processing apparatus has a device which transmits a precreated specific message and its addressee to the mail server and requests the server to return at specified time a query message querying whether to transmit or not transmit the specific message to the addressee, and a device which requests the mail server, in response to the query message from the mail server, to cancel transmission of the specific message to the addressee; the mail server has a device transmits the query message at specified time and a device which transmits the specific message to the addressee if there is no reply to the query message.

  • Publication number: 20050105699
Abstract: A communications terminal that displays the individual information of the caller at the start of a communication caused by an incoming call, comprising: a FLASH-ROM 10 forming a database that stores individual information for registered individuals and voice spectrum information for the individuals, in a mutually associated manner; a voice spectrum analyzing section 6 that extracts the voice spectrum information of a caller from the voice of the caller at the start of a communication caused by an incoming call; an MPU 7 that identifies a caller from among individuals in a database by comparing the voice spectrum information of the caller with voice spectrum information in the database; and an LCD 17 forming a display section that displays the individual information of the identified caller.

  • Publication number: 20030139203
Abstract: A telephone directory database is established in a mobile phone terminal. When a calling operation is executed in the mobile phone terminal, data included in the telephone directory database is sent out into the data network. A server computer in the central office may receive the data. The received data is registered into a database for backup data in the server computer. The backup data for the telephone directory database is reliably prepared in the server computer in this manner. A user of the mobile phone terminal is allowed to easily reestablish the telephone directory database in a new mobile phone terminal based on the backup data.

  • Patent number: 6292267
Abstract: A high-speed network printer apparatus which can be used in common by clients having different communication protocols and which can sort out printing jobs into the order of clients. Printing information is supplied from a client which may be a personal computer or a work station through a connector of the printer apparatus. A LAN interface driver receives the printing information and identifies a communication protocol by which the printing information is transferred. A communication protocol controller receives printing information in accordance with a predetermined protocol. A spooling controller, which is coupled to a storage unit which stores the received printing information, creates a queue for printing jobs. A printer controller reads out from the storage unit the printing information corresponding to a printing job of the highest priority which is designated by the queue, and forms a dot image on the basis of the printing information. A printing mechanism prints the image on paper.
