Abstract: A glass run structure for a door of an automobile including a door frame and a door glass adapted to be movable up and down in contact with a glass run member mounted to the door frame, the glass run member including a projected lip for making resilient contact with the door glass, and a guide surface for limiting the projected lip bent towards the inside of the automobile, in which the guide surface is so formed skew with respect to the door glass that its upper end is positioned nearer to the door glass than its lower end, thereby always realizing a substantially flat surface connection of the door glass with a side body of the automobile when the door is closed.

Abstract: A guide plate has at the front and rear ends thereof a pair of guide rail portions on which a pair of sliders are movably mounted for guiding movement of a door glass. The guide plate also mounts thereon a drive unit for driving the door glass at a point located between the sliders.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a window pane structure which has a considerable mechanical strength particularly at a peripheral portion thereof. The window pane structure comprises a laminated glass having a peripheral edge, and an elastic strip secured to and coextensive with the peripheral edge.

Abstract: Pull-up and pull-down wires extend toward each other from opposed positions with respect to a glass pane carrying member and are connected at their leading ends to spaced portions of the carrying member in such a manner that the two wires extend along a common line. A wire tensioner is mounted on the carrying member for tensioning the wires. The tensioner includes a torsion spring having outwardly extending end portions at least one of which is engaged with the leading end of one of the wires to bias the same toward the other.

Abstract: A glass holder made of a hard synthetic resinous material is embedded in a mounting base and a seal lip which are made of sponge rubber. The glass holder is supported at two points on the inner and outer end portions of a retainer so as to prevent a portion of the glass holder embedded in an outer lip portion from being swung outward.

Abstract: An automotive window regulator comprises a guide rail assembly and a wire type drive unit. The guide rail assembly consists of a pair of guide rails which are joined together by a plurality of beams prior to installation of the guide rail assembly on a door inner panel. The drive unit comprises a wire and a movable bracket for fixing a portion of the wire to a window pane. The movable bracket is disposed right under the center of gravity of the window pane or as close as possible to same.

Abstract: An abutment member is mounted on a pair of shafts on which upper and lower rollers are rotatably carried. The abutment member is abuttingly engageable with a wall of a guide rail when both or one of the rollers is caused to move a predetermined amount toward the wall of the guide rail.

Abstract: A roller unit of a window regulator is movably engaged with a guide rail of a U-shaped cross section. The guide rail has a pair of parallel side walls one of which is formed with a longitudinal groove of a V-shaped cross section and the other is formed to be planar. The roller unit includes a pair of convexly surfaced rollers in rolling contact with the grooved side wall and a flat surfaced roller in rolling contact with the planar side wall. The flat surfaced roller is movable toward and away from the planar side wall and urged against the same by a spring.

Abstract: A guide rail assembly of a window regulator is in the form of unit and consists of a pair of parallel guide rails and a plurality of beams extending between the guide rails to interconnect the same. A glass stabilizer for stabilizing a window pane is installed on one of the beams.
