  • Patent number: 6871724
Abstract: A frame of an electroacoustic transducer is made from a mixture of a thermoplastic resin and long fibers dispersed in the resin. The long fibers serve as reinforcing fibers. The long fibers have an average length sufficient to achieve a spring back effect. The spring back effect creases a foam structure. The electroacoustic transducer frame includes single-layer portions and three-layer portions. The single-layer portion is made of a non-foam layer. The three-layer portion is made of a pair of non-foam layers and a foam layer sandwiched by the non-foam layers. The electroacoustic transducer frame is lightweight, and has high internal loss, high rigidity and improved environmental resistance.

  • Publication number: 20050041828
Abstract: A substrate (580) made by a thin magnesium plate having a thickness of at most 60 ?m and bent in a predetermined shape is subjected to anodic oxidation using an alkali-mixture aqueous solution containing metallic salt with a pH 12 or more so that porous anodic oxide coatings (571) are formed on the surfaces thereof. A first treated substrate (581) having the anodic oxide coatings (571) is immersed in a bath of a dye (571B), which fills the pores (571A) of the anodic oxide coatings (571) and dyes the substrate, providing a second treated substrate (582). The second treated substrate (582) is subjected to electrodeposition using electrodeposition paint made mainly of acrylic resin, forming electrodeposition coatings (572) on the anodic oxide coatings (571). A magnesium diaphragm is thereby produced, which is thin and has sufficient sensitivity and desired characteristics. The diaphragm thus dyed has metallic gloss and hence acquires a high decorative value.

  • Publication number: 20040209772
Abstract: Provided is a catalyst for selective oxidation of CO gas in a gas of essentially hydrogen, and a method for producing the catalyst. The catalyst is highly active in a relatively high temperature range. The catalyst is for selectively oxidizing CO gas with hydrogen, and this carries ruthenium held on a carrier of titania and alumina, or carries ruthenium with an alkali metal and/or an alkaline earth metal held thereon. Abstract: A damper for a speaker includes an auxiliary damper 12 impregnated with a thermosetting resin, a laminate film 121 laminated on the auxiliary damper 12, and a primary damper formed on the auxiliary damper 12 or the laminate film 121. Alternatively, the damper may include the auxiliary damper 12 impregnated with the thermosetting resin (phenol) and coated with a coating agent, and the primary damper formed on the auxiliary damper and the coating agent 122. Thus, the dual damper which has enhanced reliability in resisting a high power and can be produced at a low cost without variation in the production can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20040131221
Abstract: A speaker surround is provided with a roll part with the curved central part, installed along the periphery of a cone-shaped speaker cone paper (diaphragm), a plane part to fix it to a frame, a junction part to join it to the speaker cone paper (diaphragm), and a reinforcing member installed inside the speaker surround. The reinforcing member is a mesh member installed inside the speaker surround and deforms easily according to the displacement of the speaker cone paper (diaphragm), however it has a structure and an arrangement with no expansion and contraction upon deforming. The mesh article is sandwiched between materials such as urethane foam and integrated by for example heat molding. As material of the reinforcing member, aromatic polyamide fiber, cotton, polyester fiber, olefin fiber, nylon fiber and the like are mentioned, which are formed in mesh by plain weaving, honeycomb weaving, triaxial weaving or the like.
