The boundary determination method is a method of determining the position of the boundary between first and second image regions arranged on a medium. The boundary determination method includes: a detection step of checking position information of the first image region by detecting a reference mark that is formed in the first image region in order to indicate a position of the first image region; a prediction step of predicting position information of the second image region based on the position information of the first image region; and a determination step of determining the position of the boundary based on positional relationship between the first and second image regions calculated using the position information of the first and second image regions.
