Abstract: A film scanner includes: a film carrier having, an aperture for image reading, a film conveyor for conveying a film on which image information in each frame has been recorded, to the aperture one frame by one frame of the film, and a communication device for receiving a control signal to control the film conveyor; an image reader for optically reading the recorded image information on the film; a controller for generating the control signal; and a first outputting device connected with the communication device for outputting the control signal to the film carrier.

Abstract: A camera includes: a switching circuit for switching the camera between a suspending status and a photographable status; a remote control unit which includes an operation member for conducting a photographing operation and a transmitter for outputting a photographing signal when the operation member is operated; a receiver for receiving the photographing signal; and a control circuit for controlling the camera so that a photographing operation is always conducted in accordance with a receipt of the photographing signal with the receiver when the switching circuit is switched to the photographable status. In order to conserve battery voltage, the control circuit sends a signal to the receiver to turn the receiver off after a set period of time has lapsed and no photographing signal has been received from the control unit.

Abstract: An electronic flash device includes a flash discharge tube, an IGBT, connected to the flash discharge tube, for controlling light emission, a trigger means for driving the flash discharge tube, an AC voltage generating means having an oscillation transformer for generating an AC voltage from an input voltage, and a power supply section for generating a gate drive voltage for the IGBT from a counter electromotive voltage generated at a terminal of a winding of the oscillation transformer.

Abstract: A camera to record an identification data with a subject image. The identification data is superimposed on the subject image in an imprint area within a predetermined area of the photographic film, where the imprint area corresponds to the length of the identification data. A movable masking member masks the imprint area to decrease the luminance of the subject image therein. A controller of the camera determines a masking position of the mask member based on the number of characters of the identification data, and controls a driver to drive the masking member to the masking position. A finder masking member of the camera is linked to the film masking member, and masks an area of the view finder that corresponds to the imprint area of the film for indicating the imprint area in the view finder frame.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the improvement of an exposure control device in a camera having a centralized control system that has a built-in control circuit such as a microprocessor etc. and employing a shutter wherein an optimum exposure is obtained in a way that the exposure is given to the film between the gradual opening of the shutter and the closing thereof and the correlation between the shutter apertures and their corresponding lapse of time form a triangle on the graph. If further relates to the improvement of the exposure control means for flash photographing in a camera employing aforesaid shutter and a built-in strobe flash light source.
