  • Publication number: 20080145021
Abstract: In a video recording apparatus which records and reproduces digital TV broadcasting, an I-picture extraction processor that extracts packets containing I-pictures by analyzing a transport stream is arranged. Then, packets containing I-pictures is output, by reading predetermined amount of recorded data from an HDD in which recorded data is stored and by detecting start information and end information of the I-pictures. A stream for special reproduction is output by repeating the above-stated processes. With such arrangement, it is possible, even if data does not contain position information of I-picture, to execute special reproduction such as fast-forwarding reproduction for TV program data that is recorded as an MPEG-formatted transport stream.

  • Publication number: 20070230894
Abstract: In a television receiver including a video recording/reproducing apparatus therein, since reduction is quick in a recording space thereof if recording the high-definition television broadcast signal as it is, even including a recording medium, such as, a HDD of large capacity, for example, video, audio and caption data are extracted within a vide extract portion 3, an audio extract portion 4, a caption extract portion 5 from a MPEG2-TS (Transport Stream) signal (TS=video+audio+caption data+BML (Broadcast Markup Language)+other data), but except for the BML data. And, those data extracted are recorded in a recording/reproducing portion 7.

  • Publication number: 20070079343
Abstract: A digital broadcast receiving/recording/reproducing device records and reproduces input streams in and on a recording/reproducing device, simultaneously records two streams, and reproduces one stream while reproducing the other recorded stream at the same time, thereby the streams can be viewed. The digital broadcast receiving/recording/reproducing device of the present invention extracts a distinctive part of video or audio data to be recorded, processes other video or audio data to be recorded at the same time in association with each other, creates a management file for processing information regarding the associated data, and records the created file together with the video or audio data to be recorded in a recording section. Then, the digital broadcast receiving/recording/reproducing device controls whether to reproduce the recorded video or audio data recorded based on the information of the management file.

  • Publication number: 20060029373
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus capable of recording and reproducing the signals of both a digital broadcast system and an analog broadcast system is disclosed. By utilizing the existing configuration efficiently, the cost increase due to the system change is minimized. Both the digital broadcast system and the analog broadcast system are connected to a connector to receive both digital and analog broadcast signals. The analog broadcast signal input through the connector is recorded in a digital broadcast signal recording unit of the digital broadcast system under the control of the control unit included in the digital broadcast system.

  • Publication number: 20050050314
Abstract: For providing an electronic apparatus, into which a semiconductor memory, being unavailable random accessing thereon, is installed as a memory for storing control programs therein, as well as, a start-up method for a system thereof, an electronic apparatus has a controller for executing control on each portion of the apparatus. The controller comprises a CPU 201 and a non-volatile memory 203, being electrically erasable and writable data thereof and having a function of reading out data locating at specific addresses, continuously, such as, a flash memory of “NAND” type, representatively, wherein continuous addresses are generated responding to a reset signal, so as to read out a boot program stored in a portion of the non-volatile memory, continuously, when executing the start-up of the system, and also the boot program is extended on a volatile memory 202, being accessible at random to data thereof.

  • Patent number: 5760820
Abstract: A digital signal transmission system including a transmitter and a receiver and capable of transmitting highly efficiently compressed/coded digital video signals and receiving the video signals so that the text of emergency information or the like can be displayed together with video images without once expanding/decoding the digital video signals on the transmitter side. In this system, the multiplexer of the transmitter multiplexes digital video signals and digital audio signals with a digital information signal of text which is produced and has N-level priority information added by the information stream generator, and transmits the multiplex signal to the receiver.
