  • Publication number: 20080304456
Abstract: There are provided a communication system, a radio LAN base station control device, and a radio LAN base station device capable of increasing the control reliability and improving communication stability and safety between the radio LAN base station control device and the radio LAN base station device. In this communication system (10), a plurality of data tunnels are formed between an AP control device (100) and the radio LAN base station device (200) and the data tunnels are used according to the frame type (control data frame, data frame, etc.) so as to increase the reliability that the AP control frame reaches the radio LAN base station device (200). As a result, control reliability between the AP control device (100) and the radio LAN base station device (200) is increased. Thus, it is possible to improve the communication stability and safety in the communication system (10).

  • Publication number: 20080134315
Abstract: It is possible to realize an easy access control not requiring complicated setting of user access authority in each Web server or not requiring user authentication each time each Web server is accessed. A dedicated DNS server (52) for managing a domain name is arranged in a dedicated network (50). When a gateway (40) is an authenticated terminal according to the authentication by an authentication server (53) in the dedicated network (50), the IP address of the dedicated server (52) is set as the DNS server address. When the gateway (40) is an authentication-disabled terminal, the IP address of the DNS server (32) is set as the DNS server address. Thus, the DNS solution of the authenticated terminal (12) is performed by the dedicated DNS server (52).

  • Publication number: 20080069024
Abstract: A communication system, wireless LAN base station controller, and a wireless LAN base station device for efficiently communicating a broadcast frame or multicast frame through a downstream channel. The communication system (10) comprises an AP controller (100) and a wireless LAN base station device (200). A frame converting section (102) of the AP controller (100) performs conversion into a 802.11 frame according to the network-side tunnel header of the downstream broadcast or multicast frame, and a tunnel creating/managing section (103) creates a tunnel header having a destination MAC address which is a broadcast or multicast address, and encapsulates the 802.11 frame by the tunnel header. A tunnel creating/managing section (202) of the wireless LAN base station device (200) adds the BSSID of the wireless LAN base station device (200) to the header of the 802.11 frame from which the tunnel header is removed, and terminal-side input/output section (204) sends the 802.11 frame with the BSSID.

  • Publication number: 20080040476
Abstract: An access point control system enables transmission of statistic information on access point devices without communicating extra messages, that is, spending CPU recourses and network band resources unnecessarily. In the system, when the access point devices (101-1 to 101-3) send a session maintenance message to an access point control device (102), the devices report the statistic information to the access point control device (102) at the same time. On receiving the statistic information, the access point control device (102) holds it. On receiving from a network control device (103) a statistic information acquisition request for the statistic information on an access point device, the access point control device (102) reports the statistic information received from the access point device to the network management device (103).

  • Publication number: 20070206796
Abstract: There are provided a communication system, a key distribution control device, and Wireless LAN base station device capable of more synchronizing the key configuration time of the Wireless LAN base station device with that of a communication terminal device, thereby reducing the communication cut-off period generated between the Wireless LAN base station device and the communication terminal device. In this communication system, an AP control device (100) can concatenate (encapsulate) an EAPoL-Key frame as first key information used by the communication terminal device (300) and second key information used by the Wireless LAN base station device (200) so as to generate a single frame (a key configuration request frame) and transmit the frame to the Wireless LAN base station device (200). The Wireless LAN base station device (200) separates the received frame into the EAPoL-Key frame as the first key information and the second key information used by the Wireless LAN base station device (200).

  • Publication number: 20070195725
Abstract: An access point control system capable of easily executing the correspondence between the BSSID and the VLAN of an access point device. This access point control system (100) comprises a plurality of access point devices (110-1, 110-2) , and an access point control device (120) for controlling the access point devices (110-1, 110-2) by sending a message to the access point devices (110-1, 110-2). The access point control device (120) is provided with a frame division unit (123) for dividing the frames from the access point devices (110-1, 110-2) into a plurality of VLAN networks (130-1, 130-2) on the basis of the BSSID, and division target changing means for changing the VLAN networks (130-1, 130-2) of the division targets divided by the division unit (123).

  • Patent number: 7257314
Abstract: The present invention enhances user friendliness of a system which is controlled by use of on-screen display by disabling the operation of these devices if it not permitted. According to the invention, when a recording of a received program is attempted, the program is checked for copy protection. If the program is found copy protected, a warning thereof is displayed and control of a recording/reproducing device concerned is disabled. This warning display allows the user to determine whether or not a program being received is copy protected beforehand, thereby preventing the video signal containing a copy protection control signal from being recorded on the recording/reproducing device. In addition, according to the invention, when a record button is pressed, it becomes a record stop button, being put in the selected state. This further enhances the user friendliness.

  • Publication number: 20050229211
Abstract: The invention relates to a display control apparatus and method that make it possible to easily recognize detailed information relating to an overlap time slot in an apparatus capable of setting recording reservations for programs whose broadcast time slots overlap with each other. Program-11 that will be broadcast from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. on channel-123 and program-14 that will be broadcast from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. on channel-124 have an overlap broadcast time of 11:40 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Of a block of program-11, a portion of the overlap time slot is given a color (hatched) meaning that an action corresponding to a set reservation will be executed in spite of the overlap in broadcast time with the other program. Of a block of program-14, a portion of the overlap time slot is given a color (dotted) meaning that an action corresponding to a set reservation will not be executed because of the overlap in broadcast time with the other program.

  • Patent number: 5913009
Abstract: A character display control apparatus by which only a display of characters can be put into a pause condition without putting a display of an image into a pause condition operates so that when a caption pause is instructed, a CPU controls a screen display circuit and character signals are stored in and read out from a memory. The operation is continued, and the CPU controls a monitor to continue displaying of characters being displayed then as it is until the caption pause is canceled. In this instance, a video signal processing circuit is not put into a pause condition, and when the image of the video signal supplied thereto from an external input terminal varies, the image displayed on the monitor successively varies as time passes. When cancellation of the caption pause is instructed, the CPU controls the screen display circuit so that, when new character data are inputted, they are supplied to the memory so that they are stored in place of the character data stored till then.
