  • Patent number: 8402072
Abstract: In an approximation computation apparatus, a location monitor designates, each time the number of data of a received data sequence exceeds an integer l, a starting location of the received data for calculating reduced received-data; a dimensionality reducer dimensionally reduces each data sequence including the received data after the corresponding designated starting location by random projection to generate the reduced received-data; an object selecting controller controls an object in response to a result of monitoring from the location monitor of the number of the received data reaching another integer n, deletes currently-stored object data, selects the reduced received-data after the oldest reduced received-data in the reduced received-data, and substitutes and updates an object data sequence to the selected reduced received-data; and a coefficient approximator calculates an approximate value of a wavelet coefficient on the basis of the object data and a wavelet matrix.

  • Publication number: 20120224490
Abstract: In an anomaly locating device, a flow information collector collects flow information on flows between terminal devices from observation nodes arranged at observation points over a telecommunications network, and an anomaly location narrow-downer counts, based on the flow information, the number of overlapping abnormal flows passing through each link connected to the observation points to determine a link having the largest number of overlapping abnormal flows from among the links connected to the observation points. The anomaly location narrow-downer then collects link candidates reachable by routing via the link thus determined. An anomaly link identifier narrows down the collected link candidates to an abnormal link.

  • Publication number: 20110199911
Abstract: A network fault detection system includes a parameter extractor and a fault classifier. The extractor extracts a parameter value of a parameter for use in a classification feature vector from a packet received from a network. The parameter value relates to at least one of a first value for a first parameter associated with loss of packets, a second value for a second parameter associated with jitter among packets, and a third value for a third parameter associated with a characteristic of the occurrence of the loss of packets. The classifier determines whether or not a fault has occurred in the network and classifies the fault by type, based on numerical conditions and the parameter value.

  • Publication number: 20110066579
Abstract: A neural network system for predicting time series data. The system receives analyzed data obtained by multiresolution analysis of the time series data. The input processing layer of the system includes a series of neurons corresponding to the different levels of analysis, each neuron receiving the analyzed data for it own level. The output of each of these neurons is supplied as an additional input to the neuron for the next lower level of analysis. A predicted value is derived from the output of the neuron at the lowest level. The passing of results from one level to another improves prediction accuracy and simplifies the structure of any further processing layers.

  • Patent number: 7877479
Abstract: A bandwidth control system controls the bandwidths used by plural web crawlers. The bandwidth control system receives a connection request from one of the web crawlers for establishing a connection between that web crawler and a content server. The control system records each of the web crawlers in association with a content server to which that web crawler is connected. The control system monitors the traffic on the content servers to which the web crawlers are connected. When the traffic on the content server recorded becomes too heavy, the control system disconnects the web crawler from the content server to which the crawler is connected.

  • Patent number: 7865821
Abstract: This invention provides an electronic document update notification device for notifying a user of update information of an electronic document including: a updated document name generating part 170 for generating a updated document name based on a stylized document name; a document data obtaining part 150 for obtaining document data after update based on the updated document name; a difference extracting part 180 for extracting difference data between document data before update and the document data after update; and an update information creating part 190 for creating an update information notification based on the difference data. This makes it possible to notify a user of the update information of the electronic document even when a document after update is created with the document name with the document name before update changed according to a predetermined rule, at the time of update of the electronic document.

  • Publication number: 20090183037
Abstract: In a network analyzer, a storage stores a set of occurrence frequencies in entire, first and final intervals. An arithmetic processor counts the value while deleting the frequency information based on the stored frequency information. The arithmetic processor determines whether to estimate the occurrence frequency in the interval next to the first interval for the stored frequency information after counting for a predetermined number of data sets or counting the value in each interval. When the determination is true, the difference in occurrence frequency in the first interval and the estimated occurrence frequency are stored as the occurrence frequency in a number, corresponding to the predetermined number—1, of the intervals shifted by one interval. The occurrence frequency in the next interval is estimated based on the set to store the estimated occurrence frequency in the storage as the occurrence frequency of the first interval in the next data sets.

  • Publication number: 20050154703
Abstract: To provide an information partitioning apparatus, an information partitioning method and an information partitioning program to be used to partition the contents of an electronic document without distinct structure information into appropriate blocks of information (document portions). According to the present invention, a reference source document describing in the form of an electronic document only superficial characteristics common among a plurality of electronic documents to undergo processing is prepared in advance. An input electronic document to undergo partition processing is compared with the reference source document, and each portion of the input electronic document which is not included in the reference source document and is only present in the input electronic document and each portion of the input electronic document which is an alteration of a portion of the reference source document are partitioned as document portions.
