  • Publication number: 20150069774
Abstract: An impact absorber includes a energy absorbing member that is formed of a composite material obtained by reinforcing a resin with a fiber and absorbs impact energy by being crushed in a predetermined crush direction, and a pressing member that is disposed on the front side of the energy absorbing member and presses it in the crush direction to thereby crush the energy absorbing member. The energy absorbing member is configured by stacking, along a radial direction orthogonal to the crush direction, fiber layers having different elastic moduli to a load along the crush direction, and the front end portion of the energy absorbing member is inclined relative to a pressing surface of the pressing member such that the fiber layers are gradually brought into contact with the pressing member sequentially in ascending order of the elastic modulus as the energy absorbing member is pressed by the pressing member.

  • Publication number: 20150069773
Abstract: An impact absorber includes a an energy absorbing member that is formed of a composite material and absorbs impact energy by being crushed in a predetermined crush direction, an outer tube member disposed so as to surround the periphery of the energy absorbing member over the energy absorbing member along the crush direction, and a pressing member disposed so as to be in contact with the front end of the energy absorbing member and the front end of the outer tube member and presses the energy absorbing member and the outer tube member simultaneously in the crush direction to thereby crush them. The outer tube member is formed in a shape in which tubular portions are coupled in the crush direction, and is crushed in the crush direction while the tubular portions are regularly folded when the outer tube member is pressed by the pressing member in the crush direction.

  • Publication number: 20140372502
Abstract: A mobile terminal being a searching source that searches for a communication device transmits a searching request addressed to a communication device being a searching destination using a plurality of channels without waiting for a reply to the searching request. A communication device adjacent to the mobile terminal being the searching source, upon receiving a reply to the searching request transmitted by the transmitting from the searching destination, holds the received reply. The mobile terminal being the searching source transmits an inquiry to the adjacent communication device using a plurality of channels about whether a reply to the transmitted searching request has been received from the searching destination. With this configuration, in an ad hoc network with a reactive scheme, the time taken for searching related to a partner device can be shortened.

  • Publication number: 20140369359
Abstract: A communication device is included in an ad hoc network in a reactive routing scheme. The communication device includes a receiving unit, a selecting unit, and a transfer control unit. The receiving unit receives a route request frame including overall quality information on routes through which the route request frame has passed. The selecting unit selects a route request frame to be transferred to another communication device based on the quality information, from the route request frames received by the receiving unit through a plurality of routes. The transfer control unit transfers the route request frame selected by the selecting unit to the another communication device, and discards the route request frame when a quality value indicated by the quality information of the route request frame is smaller than a predetermined reference value.
