  • Patent number: 11925540
Abstract: An elastic sheet for an absorbent article includes a first fibrous layer disposed on a first surface of the elastic sheet, a second fibrous layer disposed on a second surface of the elastic sheet opposite to the first surface, and contractible elastic members secured between the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer. The first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer each include continuous fibers of thermoplastic and gathers formed between adjacent ones of the elastic members. The gathers are disposed in an intersecting direction intersecting with a direction in which the elastic members extend. An average flexural rigidity value of the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer in accordance with a KES method is 0.0035×10?4 to 0.022×10?4 (N·m2/m). A thickness under a compression load to the gathers in accordance with the KES method is 0.22 to 1.5 mm.

  • Publication number: 20050054058
Abstract: A method for producing a nucleic acid-rich yeast extract from a yeast cell suspension by an enzyme addition method, wherein the pH of the yeast cell suspension is first adjusted to neutral or alkaline (6.5-11.0), and the suspension is heated to a prescribed temperature (70-95° C.) to produce a nucleic acid-rich yeast extract.

  • Publication number: 20030211933
Abstract: A catalyst for olefinic polymer production comprises (a) a penta-coordinated, organic aluminium oxide compound, (b) an alkylating agent and (c) a compound of a transition metal of Group IV, V, VI or VIII of the Periodic Table. Olefins are homopolymerized or copolymerized in the presence of the catalyst for olefinic polymer production to produce olefinic polymers. The process does not require a promoter of methylaluminoxane, with which the problem is low solubility and low storage stability. Using therein the penta-coordinated, organic aluminium oxide compound which is relatively inexpensive and can be produced easily, the process realizes high-yield production of olefinic polymers.

  • Patent number: 6316557
Abstract: Provided area catalyst for polymerizing olefinic monomers, which comprises (a) a transition metal compound, (b) at least one member selected from clay, clay minerals and ion-exchanging layered compounds, (c) a silane compound, and optionally (d) an alkylating agent; a catalyst for polymerizing olefinic monomers, which comprises (a) a transition metal compound, (b) at least one member selected from clay, clay minerals and ion-exchanging layered compounds, (c) a silane compound, and optionally (e) an organic aluminum compound, and further optionally (d) an alkylating agent; and a method for producing olefinic polymers or styrenic polymers, which comprises homopolymerizing or copolymerizing olefinic or styrenic monomers in the presence of the catalyst for polymerizing olefinic monomers. The method does not require a large amount of aluminoxane, and the catalyst to be used therein has high polymerization activity.

  • Patent number: 5451648
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for producing a styrenic polymer having a syndiotactic configuration which comprises polymerizing a styrenic monomer containing hydrogen dissolved therein at a hydrogen partial pressure of at most 1 kg/cm.sup.2 G by the use of a polymerization catalyst comprising an (a) transition metal compound and a (b) coordination complex compound composed of a cation and an anion in which a plurality of radicals are bonded to a metal, or an aluminoxane and, when necessary, a (c) alkylating agent. The above process is capable of modifying the molecular weight of the objective SPS, lowering its molecular weight without expanding the molecular weight distribution, and decreasing the required quantity of the catalyst and the residual quantities of metals in the resultant SPS, whereby the production cost of the objective SPS is considerably curtailed.

  • Patent number: 5126430
Abstract: A process for preparing a polyarylene sulfide involves contacting a sulfur source with a metallic salt of an aliphatic .omega.-hydroxycarboxylic acid and a dihalogen aromatic compound in an organic polar solvent, thereby carrying out polycondensation with stability in a polymerization system in which a water content is large. the polyarylene sulfide prepared has a high degree of whiteness and with a sufficiently high molecular weight. The use of the metallic salt of .omega.-hydroxycarboxylic acid in a particular range can provide a novel polyarylene sulfide.

  • Patent number: 5038140
Abstract: In a communication system wherein repeater stations and terminal stations are connected in tandem, a supervisory system in which a logical hierarchical configuration is used for the transmission of supervisory information regarding the stations and a redundant polling is used to easily and securely collect the supervisory information from the slave or repeater stations or the like. Whereby, if faults occur in some of the stations, the collection of the information is carried out without interruption and without the need to install a special information collecting line.

  • Patent number: 4733320
Abstract: A line protection switch equipment (LPSW) in a communication system, having a plurality of two-input and two-output switches connected between lines including a protection line and working lines, the switches being connected in series by a loop line which forms a loop, whereby by switching the switches connected to a faulty working line and to a protection line, the faulty working line is switched to become a protection line, and the former protection line becomes a working line.

  • Patent number: 4680776
Abstract: A line protection switching system of improved reliability decreases the time for protection line switching. In order to increase reliability, service signals are sent in parallel via a plurality of transmission lines, using a service bit area of PCM bit frames. The system switches a failed transmission line to a stand by line, at a local station where trouble is detected without waiting for the switching of an opposite station. At the same time, a switching command is sent to the opposite station. If the switching of the opposite station fails, the local station commands a retry of the switching operation. If it again fails, the local station returns the transmission line to the initial state. In addition, a low priority signal is transmitted through the stand by line, so that the total system operates more economically.
