  • Patent number: 5961717
Abstract: A synthesis of phosphorus-doped diamond by a microwave plasma method using a volatile hydrocarbon and hydrogen mixed therewith, as a reaction gas, wherein phosphorus is used as a dopant, and hydrogen bonded to the phosphorus is dissociated so that the phosphorus is introduced into diamond as an impurity without being bonded to hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 5589355
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing riboflavin efficiently at a low cost, wherein riboflavin is formed and accumulated in a medium by culturing a microorganism carrying a recombinant DNA prepared by inserting into a vector DNA a DNA which is derived from a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium and which, upon introduction into a riboflavin-requiring microorganism, confers on the microorganism the ability to complement its riboflavin requirement.

  • Patent number: 5528572
Abstract: An audio signal recording apparatus is constructed to record a track number signal which allows the recording of an index number signal indicating a pause portion before a music piece also at the beginning of the recording operation. An audio signal to be recorded is delayed by a predetermined delay time period, to produce a delayed audio signal. Upon starting the recording operation, a muting operation is effected to the delayed audio signal and a resultant signal is recorded on the recording medium during the predetermined muting period after the start of the recording. During this period, a subcode information signal containing the index number signal indicating a number "0" is also recorded on the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5422868
Abstract: An audio signal recording apparatus is constructed to record a track number signal which allows a sure detection of a head position of a music piece. An audio signal to be recorded is delayed for the recording by a first predetermined time period. A start time of each music piece is detected by a transition from a silent state to a sound bearing state of the audio signal, and a track number signal is incremented at a timing of a second predetermined time period, which is shorter than the first predetermined time period, after a detection of the start time of a music piece, and the track number signal having been incremented.

  • Patent number: 5250425
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for producing ascorbic acid-2-phosphate which comprises the steps of reaction, in aqueous medium, of ascorbic acid with a phosphate donor in the presence of cells, treated cells, a culture broth or a treated culture broth, of a microorganism belonging to the genus Escherichia and carrying a recombinant DNA comprising a gene isolated from a microorganism belonging to the species Pseudomonas azotocolligans and coding for ascorbic acid-phosphorylating enzyme until a recoverable amount of ascorbic acid-2-phosphate is accumulated in the aqueous medium, and recovery of ascorbic acid-2-phosphate therefrom.
