  • Patent number: 10217368
Abstract: A flight path setting apparatus includes a display unit, a selector, a range calculator, and a display controller. The display unit displays a flight path of an aircraft. The flight path includes a plurality of points. The selector selects a first point on the basis of an operation performed by a user. The first point is any one of the points displayed by the display unit. The range calculator calculates a non-settable range on the basis of a flight performance and a surrounding environment of the aircraft. The non-settable range is a region that is around the first point and in which a second point is not settable. The second point is subsequent to the first point on the flight path. The display controller causes the display unit to display the non-settable range that relates to the first point and is calculated by the range calculator.

  • Patent number: 10203690
Abstract: A formation setting apparatus includes a display unit, a selector, a region calculator, a display controller, and a communication controller. The display unit displays a formation of formation flying that includes aircrafts. The selector selects, as a first aircraft, one of the aircrafts displayed on the display unit, on a basis of an operation performed by a user. The region calculator calculates a movable region of the first aircraft, on a basis of a distance, to the first aircraft, from one or a plurality of second aircrafts of the aircrafts excluding the first aircraft. The display controller causes the calculated movable region to be displayed on the display unit. The communication controller transmits a control signal to the first aircraft when a position within the movable region displayed on the display unit is selected by the user. The control signal causes the first aircraft to move to the selected position.

  • Patent number: 7379636
Abstract: An optical switch having a plurality of switch cells. The optical switch has n inputs (n is a natural number) and m outputs (m is a natural number). The optical switch has a unit size defined as the distance between any two adjacent ones of the switch cells. The optical switch comprises a substrate having a switch size of K×L (K is an integer satisfying n?K, and L is an integer satisfying m?L), first and second mirrors parallel to each other and perpendicular to a principal surface of the substrate, and an optical unit providing a plurality of input optical paths for the n inputs and a plurality of output optical paths for the m outputs. The plurality of input optical paths are inclined relative to the first and second mirrors, and the plurality of output optical paths are inclined relative to the first and second mirrors. Each switch cell comprises a switch mirror provided movably relative to the substrate. With this configuration, the path dependence of loss is substantially eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7171119
Abstract: An optical path cross-connect device includes a wavelength branching unit, an intra office signal input unit, “m” pieces of routing units, a wavelength combining unit and an intra-office signal output unit. The routing units input thereinto an optical signal outputted from either of the wavelength branching unit and the intra-office signal input unit via a first optical path group, and convert an input optical signal into a predetermined wavelength to thereby output a wavelength-converted optical signal to a second optical path group. The “m” (symbol being an integer and also being larger than 1)” pieces of routing units are subdivided into units of at least “n (symbol “n” being an integer and also being larger than 1)” wavelengths, as wavelength ranges to be processed by the respective routing unit are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 7146102
Abstract: Each piece of WDM light transmitted via the first and second line is demultiplexed for each wavelength by the first and second optical demultiplexer, and is selected by n optical selectors. Each selected optical signal is split by n optical splitters and is input to one set of optical switches. Each one of optical signals from the set of optical switches is selected by n optical selectors. Furthermore, each selected optical signal is regenerated by n wavelength converters. Each regenerated optical signal is split by n optical splitters, and is multiplexed by the first and second optical multiplexers.
