  • Publication number: 20240123185
Abstract: Resin-coated wire is capable of moving forward inside a drug solution-containing lumen of a catheter containing a drug solution, and thereby pushing out the drug solution from a distal end of the catheter. The resin-coated wire includes a wire, and a coating made of resin coating the wire. The coating has a distal end coating and a proximal end coating. The distal end coating is formed of a first resin material and coats a first part, which is a distal end portion of the wire. The proximal end coating is formed of a second resin material and coats a second part adjacent to a proximal end side of the first part of the wire. The first resin material has a higher affinity for water than the second resin material.

  • Publication number: 20230121016
Abstract: A catheter device is configured to include a main body portion that is bendable and is provided on a distal end side, two systems of wire ropes coupled to a distal end portion of the main body portion with a space in a predetermined first direction, and an operating portion that is operable by a user operation and is coupled to a proximal end side of the two systems of the wire ropes with a space in the first direction. The main body portion is bendable in the first direction due to a tension state of the two systems of the wire ropes by bending the operating portion in the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20230057999
Abstract: A catheter includes a transmission unit that is disposed at the distal end of a tube having a lumen and has an ultrasonic wave transmitting function; a reception unit that is disposed at the distal end of the tube and has an ultrasonic wave receiving function; and an acoustic lens that is disposed so as to cover only the transmission unit among the transmission unit and the reception unit. Ultrasonic beams transmitted from the transmission unit are converged by passing through the acoustic lens, and a reflected wave reflected on biological tissue is received by the reception unit without passing through the acoustic lens. Since setting of the positions, number, and the like of the reception units is not bound by the position, size, and the like of the acoustic lens, the positions, number, and the like of the reception units can be appropriately set to improve ultrasonic reception efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20230056415
Abstract: A catheter having a lumen includes a tube, a sensor unit disposed at a distal end of the tube and capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasound, and an irradiation unit disposed at the distal end of the tube and capable of emitting the ultrasound toward a guide wire which passes through the lumen and protrudes from the distal end of the tube. The shape of the biological tissue can be observed by transmitting the ultrasound from the sensor units toward the biological tissue and receiving the reflection wave reflected by the biological tissue at the sensor units. Irradiating the guide wire with the ultrasound transmitted from the irradiation unit causes the guide wire to vibrate. The vibration of the guide wire can facilitate the passage through an occlusion site of the biological tissue.

  • Publication number: 20220362513
Abstract: A catheter includes a catheter shaft, an operating portion coupled to a proximal end portion of the catheter shaft, and at least one operating wire. A distal end portion of each operating wire is fixed to a distal end portion of the catheter shaft, and a proximal end portion of each operating wire is fixed to the operating portion or the proximal end portion of the catheter shaft. The operating portion includes a first rotary member. The first rotary member makes relative rotation with respect to the catheter shaft around an axis parallel to an extending direction of the proximal end portion of the catheter shaft to change a tensile force of the operating wire and thus change a degree of bending of the distal end portion of the catheter shaft.
