  • Patent number: 9380006
Abstract: The packet processing method includes receiving a first packet, selecting a first storage area from a plurality of storage areas included in a buffer as a packet storage area in accordance with first time at which the first packet is received, and storing the first packet into the selected first storage area. The first storage area is selected as the packet storage area for the other packets received when a predetermined time period has passed from the first time.

  • Patent number: 7724751
Abstract: A first communication device receives an ATM cell bound for a second ATM device from a first ATM device via an ATM interface, and then the first communication device sends a data frame including the ATM cell to the second ATM device via wide area Ethernet. In addition, the first communication device sends a synchronization frame to the second ATM device via the wide area Ethernet continuously at a predetermined time interval in accordance with a clock frequency of the first ATM device. A second communication device receives the synchronization frame and measures a clock frequency of the first ATM device in accordance with a time interval of receiving the synchronization frame so as to reproduce a clock having the same frequency as the measured clock frequency. After that, the second communication device sends the clock to the second ATM device via an ATM interface.

  • Publication number: 20080091841
Abstract: A communication method is provided in which irrespective of whether the communication apparatus is in a condition of being able to cache the received data or not, it is made possible to receive segment data having a sequence number assigned thereto continuously with the reception of the resent lost data, whereby the reduction in communication throughput can be reduced and the time can be reduced that is required for the reception of all the segment data to be completed. In a first communication apparatus and a second communication apparatus that perform data communication based on the TCP, the first communication apparatus receives information corresponding to a scheduled sequence number equal to the previously received scheduled sequence number (S205: YES), and when the number of times of continuous reception reaches a predetermined number of times (S208: YES), returns the sequence number to the received scheduled sequence number (S209).
