  • Patent number: 9110571
Abstract: An operation input system and method are provided. The system includes a display device including a display screen, an input device that provides an input into the display device and a control device that includes a protrusion control section that controls a protrusion state of each of the plurality of protrusion members in accordance with a display content in the windows displayed on the display screen. The system is controlled such that when a first window and a second window are displayed so as to partially overlap each other, the protrusion control section makes the protrusion state of the protrusion members protruded in accordance with the display content of a hidden region of the second window different from the protrusion state of the protrusion members protruded in accordance with the display content of an entire region of the first window.

  • Patent number: 8461051
Abstract: A method for processing a sample using an electrically neutral reactive cluster is provided. The surface of a sample is processed by jetting out a mixed gas that is composed of a reactive gas and a gas with a boiling point lower than that of the reactive gas from a gas jetting part of a vacuum process room in which the sample is placed by a pressure in a range in which the mixed gas is not liquefied, in a predetermined direction, while adiabatically-expanding the mixed gas, thereby generating a reactive cluster and jetting the reactive cluster against the sample in the vacuum process room.

  • Publication number: 20030236681
Abstract: The prescription method without checking some points such as a term of validity may result in an excess of prescription. Furthermore, the patient may subsequently take an excessive amount of the prescribed medicine because the patient takes the prescribed medicine under his self-control. Consequently, in the case that a medicine is prescribed for the patient through networks without a medical examination for the patient, it is necessary to have the patient take the prescribed medicine appropriately. Even with respect to a habitual medicine that has been taken for a long time, it is necessary to prescribe a medicine permitted by a doctor at the time instructed by the doctor. A method for prescribing medicine securely is pursued so that a patient can take the medicine appropriately.

  • Patent number: 4316362
Abstract: A cross compound turbine apparatus and method of operating the same wherein the apparatus includes a first turbine generator having a high pressure turbine and a first low pressure turbine connected to a first generator driving shaft, with the second turbine generator having an intermediate pressure turbine connected to a second generator driving shaft. Driving steam is supplied to the high pressure turbine and a primary steam line communicates exhaust steam from the high pressure turbine to drive the intermediate pressure turbine during a steady state operation of the first and second turbine generator sections. A bypass steam line communicates steam from the system supplying driving steam to the high pressure turbine to the intermediate pressure turbine in a bypassing relationship to the high pressure turbine.

  • Patent number: 4032255
Abstract: A rotor fixing device for turbines comprising rotor support means independent of the bearing and including an inner ring member split into at least two sections and formed on its inner peripheral surface with grooves complementary with packing teeth formed on an outer peripheral surface of the turbine rotor, and an outer ring member split into at least two sections and secured to a turbine casin for supporting the inner ring member, and means secured to stationary members of the turbine and adapted to be inserted into a space defined between a rotor wheel and a packing case head for constraining axial movement of the turbine rotor. The rotor support means is disposed adjacent each end portions of the turbine rotor. The turbine rotor can be fixedly supported in place in an assembled condition during transportation of the turbine. The rotor fixing device is removed from the turbine after completion of transportation thereof.

  • Patent number: 3994137
Abstract: Improvements in or relating to a reheating steam plant comprising a main steam line connecting a heater to a higher pressure turbine through regulating valves, and a reheated steam line connecting the higher pressure turbine to an intermediate pressure turbine through a reheater, a reheating stop valve and an intermediate stop valve. The improvements consist in the provision of a branch line branching off from the main steam line at a point disposed on the up-stream side of the regulating valves and connected to the reheated steam line at a point interposed between the intermediate stop valve and the intermediate pressure turbine, an adjusting valve mounted in the branching line, and a control for the adjusting valve. The adjusting valve is adapted to be opened when the turbine is under an overload so as to introduce to the intermediate pressure turbine a portion of the steam supplied from the heater.

  • Patent number: 3979014
Abstract: A seal device for use in the flange mating surfaces of a vacuum container of the type, in which there are provided a first member and a second member, both of which are formed with flanges, respectively, and in which the aforesaid flanges are bolted together so as to maintain the interior of the container to a lower pressure, as compared with the atmospheric pressure. With this type container, the aforesaid bolts are located outwardly on the flange mating surfaces, and a first space is provided on the innermost side of the flange mating surfaces but inwardly of the aforesaid bolts, while a second space is provided thereon between the bolts and the first space. The first space is communicated with steam guide holes provided in either of the aforesaid flanges, while steam guide holes are in communication with a steam generating source so that steam having a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure outside the container is introduced into the first space.
