Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a tampon which includes an absorbent body, an accommodating member and a pushing member, includes: an orienting mechanism; a first inserting mechanism that inserts the pushing member into the accommodating member; and a second inserting mechanism that inserts the absorbent body into the accommodating member in which the pushing member is inserted. The orienting mechanism has an opening through which the accommodating member is inputted; a pair of first protruded parts; and a pair of second protruded parts located on other-end side in the longitudinal direction of the opening and protruding inwardly in an opposing manner into the opening, a gap between the pair of first protruded parts, and a gap between the pair of second protruded parts being greater than the external diameter of the minor diameter part and smaller than the external diameter of the major diameter part.

Abstract: A process for producing a bulky paper with a concavo-convex pattern includes the steps of producing a wet mixed sheet comprising high-basis-weight regions and low-basis-weight regions from a paper-making material prepared by dispersing a fiber starting material and heat-expanding particles in water, the heat-expanding particles being evenly dispersed in the fiber in the high basis-weight and low basis-weight regions; and then heating the wet mixed sheet to cause expansion of the heat-expanding particles and form a concavo-convex pattern. This allows the free designing of concavo-convex sections on bulky papers.

Abstract: A control section reads data such as a conduit diameter and a conduit length of an endoscope and a cleaning profile which are separately recorded in a storage section based on type information of the endoscope registered in the storage section. A cleaning degree suited to the endoscope is estimated by calculation based on a pressure value and a flow rate value which are measured, the diameter and the length of the conduit to be cleaned, and the cleaning profile.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a bulky paper with a concavo-convex pattern consisting of low density regions with a high degree of expansion of the heat-expanding particles and high density regions with a low degree of expansion of the heat-expanding particles, comprising: making a wet mixed sheet having heat-expanding particles uniformly dispersed in fibers from a paper-making material prepared by dispersing a fiber starting material and heat-expanding particles in water; then spraying prescribed sections of the wet mixed sheet with moist hot air or water vapor at above the initial expansion temperature of the heat-expanding particles to cause expansion of the heat-expanding particles at those sections; and then drying at a temperature at which the heat-expanding particles do not fully expand. The process allows free designing of concavo-convex sections on bulky papers.

The package sheet has a surface, on which the base end of the tape is fixed, the surface being smoothed by a smoothing process.

The liquid-receiving region includes a raised region in which a hydrophilic material layer is provided. The raised region is continuously elongated in a longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin. The raised region includes a front region for coming into contact with a vaginal opening of a wearer and a rear region for coming into contact with buttocks of the wearer. When the front region and the rear region are respectively depressed with a given pressure, an amount of the depression of the rear region is larger than an amount of the depression of the front region.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for easily and quantitatively evaluating a degree of fatigue of a human being, a kit therefor, and an application thereof. Specifically, by measuring a concentration of amino acid in plasma taken from a subject, the degree of fatigue of the subject in daily life can be easily and quantitatively evaluated. Furthermore, an in vivo anti-fatigue effect of an anti-fatigue substance and that of an anti-fatigue food product can be measured.

Abstract: There is provided a pellicle container for use in photolithography, with which no dust particles are deposited onto the pellicle contained therein, and contamination of the pellicle can be prevented and good condition is ensured. The present invention provides a pellicle container consisting of a container base on which a pellicle is mounted, and a covering body that covers the pellicle and latches with the container base by engagement together with the container base along the peripheral edges, wherein the pellicle is supported by inserting a frame supporting pin in the opening of a sleeve provided on the outside surface of the pellicle frame.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid absorbent sheet for absorbing and retaining liquid. The liquid absorbent sheet is a single nonwoven fabric in which a liquid permeable layer and a liquid retaining layer are inseparably but distinguishably formed. The liquid permeable layer is exposed externally on one side of the nonwoven fabric. The liquid retaining layer lies beneath the liquid permeable layer for absorbing and retaining liquid. The liquid permeable layer contains at least 70% synthetic resin fibers by weight. The liquid retaining layer contains at least 70% cellulosic fibers by weight. Constituent fibers of the nonwoven fabric are bonded together by an adhesive force of a binder and/or a bonding force caused by fusion of the synthetic resin fibers.

When the front region and the rear region are respectively depressed with a given pressure, an amount of the depression of the rear region is larger than an amount of the depression of the front region.
